I have always loved watching your videos Paperlilies. Long time viewer first time commenter. :) I just wanted to say cheers for the Tottenham support. I am all the way across the pond, but support the Spurs. I hope they do well in the champions league in the quarters. Cheers
I usually don't think about it, but it must be strange for people who haven't heard of youtube to hear other people say they make videos on the internet. It's almost like people who aren't part of the community might not understand what it's all about, you know, vlogging and stuff. Congrats on the painting. :)
You look a little scared in this video. It must have felt strange to meet someone who almost worships you to the point of having portraited you and got the portrait of a high end museum.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah, walk around London at your peril. Its full of skag heads and gang bangers. Makes L.A. look like Disneyland. Believe me, all you sceptics and luveys out there, I'm very very qualified to make that comment! ;/
I love this whole shy part of you. Based on your videos, it seems that in the past year, you've really come out of your shell. I especially think that it's cute how you're sitting with your knees tucked in like that. I just wanted to let you know that you are beautiful.
i once won 81 dollars in an art contest... yes i know why 81, it's because of the stupid taxes WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH JUST $81!! *thinks, smiles* bye
for me it isn't really a surprise that he made a painting of you, You're a beautiful girl... If I could I would made a painting of you to. And I agree with the comment of nvt1981
wow, you are great! Your video lasts more than 12 minutes and I never got bored while I was watching your vid. Ever thought of becoming an actress? I think film makers may need persons like you.
I would love to put you to work on my farm and observe what you create from the images that become mainfest in such a life. A kiss would also be a lovely thing :)
Sounds like you had a great day and you've made an interesting story out of it.I wish you'd taken the camera with you.Well done for standing your ground in the V&A.I'm pretty sure I'd have lost it in there.
That is really great about the picture being displayed, but what is even greater is your parents's responses about you being on the internet in videos and stuff... when my mom found out I got called white trash... nice mom huh?
I should really go to the V&A sometime, I've walked passed it nearly every day for the last 2 years... :P Was the painting just there for the weekend or is it still there?
Congratulations on the V&A. Sounds quite surreal! BTW, I love the very detailed way you tell the story (including the macaroon, for example), when you're clearly trying to rush :)
Congrats PL! Was there a price on that painting? I mean it's freaky enough to discover that someone painted you and put that painting in an art exhibition, but to see you being sold for...like 15 pounds would suck! :-)
Congrats on the....everything, i just noticed that you have the same accent as brittish boss, is that a london accent, or rural? I know what you mean with memorising things by the train stops, that's how i know chicago, in fact, i don't think i could navigate the city if not for the trains
I love the lighting in this video. I agree about the painting it captures the essence of your Geisha video. I really like the Geisha video by the way. It shows how people can celebrate each others cultures and come together. The painting looks great. I also like your painting, the video kind of gave me a tutorial on how to paint. Maybe now you can spread the message on how to eat chips.
Very cool stories. Your a very unique and talented woman Bryony. I think you're going to have to continue to work on getting over your shyness because I think you're going to be very popular. Even more so than now.
That's incredible that you were in the V&A!!! I'm going to be coming back to London for this weekend to see my family, so do you know if it's still up there because I would love to go and take a look. :)
Oh well, at least I got to see the picture you took of it, and it looked amazingly well done! At least you had the chance to go and see it though, it would have been such a shame if you hadn't. It must have been incredible ("surreal" as you put it) to see yourself in such a place! What an honour! :) Anyway, thank you for replying to my question, I hope you have a great day. :D
Thats fantastic. Must be quite surreal to have a painting of yourself in the public eye. Hey and you ended up doing the hair. The dark red definitely works for you. Coolness.
Congrats on all levels. Pretty amazing what you can do when you put yourself out there.
Oh, so that's why the video count dropped suddenly. Bryony, I would bet that your parents are happy that you are overcoming your shyness. In fact if Thomas would have snapped a photo of your parents' expression when they discovered that you were the Queen of the Blogs, the pride would have been gleeming through. :)
Job * , also it must be wierd being an Internet mini Celeb . Have you ever been reconised on the streets ? also the LA art show might fly you out to talk about your video , that would be very cool .
You are so cute in this video - I would have reacted the same way about meeting the artist. All weirded out. That's awesome about your face being in the V&A, for sure! :)
"Queen of the blogs..." isn't it weird when your parents sum up your life in odd terms? Very nice video...congrats on having your picture up in one of my favorite museums in the world. My wife and I were there for the Modernism show earlier this year and try to get there whenever we're in London.
Fantastic! I thought you would be more freaked being outed to your parents, but you took it well. I'm Proud of you for your fortitude in the whole experiance! I bet your all beaming cause of it! Great vid thanks!
Wow that's pretty bad ass, you're blowing up all over! The painting was really great, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a painting of yourself in a museum like that, kind of a mixture between nice and a bit scary hehe.
Some damned funny quotes in this one... "fuckin hell that's me.." , "stood next to this painting of myself waiting around"... congrats on finally telling your parents hon! :) Good Queen of the Blogs.
At first I was thinking, 'oh boy, this is 12 minutes long'... but it was actually quite interesting from start to finish. I'm not sure many other people on youtube could pull that off.
what a cool day(s) for you! AWESOME memory. proud of you for sticking around to meet the guy. that was almost as cool as the painting itself, 'cause I can tell how hard it was for you.
That was a great video! Congrats on having a painting of yourself in that museum. I'm glad you decided to stick around and meet the artist, and the meeting went well. This video was long, but not at all boring. Thanks for sharing your story. =D
I certainly hope my parents never find me on here. I don't really communicate with them well, even though I still live in the same house with them. They've never seen me open up. They've never seen my tattoo, or seen me smoke a cigarette (badly), or seen anything like it. It's quite scary. Lets hope I remain obscure and under-subscribed...
I like to walk about London too. I've decided that going directly to Uni is boring so I've been getting off of at different tube stations and walking from their. Last week I spent a couple of hours walking about just taking in the architecture between Kings Cross and Holburn. I spotted a fantastic Banksy peice on Farringdon Road too which made my week :D
So the morale of the story is if you'd like to meet Paperlillies all you have to do is paint a picture of her and get it hung in one of most well respected museums in the country :P
It may also have to be in Greater London, so all you poor bastards trying to get one put up in the Tate in Cornwall, you're screwed.
This is the first time I've seen a video of yours, and I have to say, you remind me quite a bit of Daisy in Spaced. You know, minus the complete lack of tact, the loss of the subject and the lies. Great stuff about the art stuffs, too! I'd love to have some stalker paint me from my vids! ^_^
Gadzooks! Quite an amazing day for you. Congrats on the painting. How did he get a showing in the V&A Museum? Pretty impressive. I see your blob painting is GBP 68.00 on Ebay. Also impressive. I'll be bidding.
I loved this video. Congrats on that guy doing a painting on you. That's totally awesome. Not only that, it was a great painting. I've never said anything before, but the Boh3m3 logo thing he did of you certainly did not do you justice. Personally none of my family or friends either one know that I post videos. I just prefer to keep it a private thing. I'm glad they were supportive. Keep on doing what you do. You rock!!!
i started a painting of you a couple of weeks ago. then i had to put it aside for a while coz work took up almost all of my free time. but just a few days ago i started working on it again. but now i feel kinda stupid, you know? somebody else already finished a painting of you and its displayed in some fancy museum...
