One thing that Calgary has had the ability to do for so many years.. is offer the same kind of service without the technology. Or because of the lack of technology, and lack of shelters, they were able to expand the service much larger for it's available funds. Considering Calgary had 3 lines and we only had like 600,000 people back in the 80s when most were built.
Now we just need to expand the BRT to be just as big.
In U.S, the federal rule is 12 years or 500000 which ever comes first. No wonder where broke. This policy could causes the manufactures to use cheaper materials. Why do thing's right, when money grows on trees in Washington.
I guess Calgary will be the last major city in Canada left with Fishbowls, Toronto's Fishbowls are expected to be gone by end of this year, sadly only around 20 left. Fishbowls and MCI Classics are my two favorites in Calgary.
Because there are only 60 out of 1000 bus fleet and I only saw 6 of them the entire time I was there...besides I was after the Fishbowls...those beautiful Fishbowls!!!
@Nabinut I rather live in Canada being around these REAL buses like Fishbowls. U.S. is just spoiled, that's why the economy and government is in Bad Shape in U.S.
i fucking love the 301 driver at 3:51. If i had a nickel for everyone ive almost hit doing a 2, 3, 17, 301 etc id be a fucking millionaire!!!

tlstark96 9 months ago
@tlstark96
Because unlike the U.S, Canada doesn't really have the government chipping in 80% to help buy buses.
