  • ach du scheisse was eine eingebildete hackfresse...

  • It's easier to apply if you stop shaking all over the place.

  • FYI, Applicate isn't a word. It's APPLY.

  • great job alternative to cool labortories liquid pro

  • im sure its super helpful, but im not even sure why i need a thermal compound. maybe make a thermal compound for dummies to accompany this one :p

  • Thanx for clear instrux - wasn't sure about application method or that I had to let it dry out for 10 minutes before dropping in heatsink. I'll do the GPU on video card as well. Keep the AC/DC rocking bro'!

  • you mean the diamond is 5 * more conductive...

  • ic diamond is shit. 5x more expensive than MX-2 and only 1degrees better. Many shops stop selling it because no one wants to buy it. People are smart and know that this shitty product is a scam. Now IC wants to develop a low cost product because their diamond stuff does not sell. I would rather put my own shit on my cpu than their new crap which smells just as bad. the new stuff perform horribly (bottom 5% of all pastes). fuck IC.

  • @xterminator069 No fuck you. You don't even know how to apply it. That's why you post retarded uninformed comments on YouTube.

  • @lordfirefox hey stupid fanboy. thanks to morons like you, ic is still in business today. i owned over 25 pastes in the past and ic is only so-so, but price/performance is among the lowest 10%. oh it's diamonds, it must be good. typical of a stupid fanboy buying anything that is shinny just like a dumb woman.

  • Just Viewed your vid many thanks for the heads up , going to buy this now only because it has your seal of approval

    peace out and thanks

  • this guys mad cool

  • thankyou for the vid

  • shits thick u must soak it in hot watter for 10 works great on northbridge also

  • So there is no difference between ICD 7 and ICD24? (Just the size?) Cause I've had ICD 7 previously.

Cheers for the video man, it helped with my decision :)

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for in info in this vid.

  • @scaleop4 No problem mate, thanx for the comment.

  • I ordered Indigo Xtreme, should be here tomorrow. Cannot wait to test it.

  • nice video, I thought you were going to say stanbony approved kind of like Trubritar does.

  • @danx033 lol no, but we go way back, he's a good man.

    Stanbony

  • on a lot of the comparisons I've seen Shin-Etsu X23-7784D comes out on top

  • @danx033 lie

  • nice vid.do you think its better to just get a cooling pad for a laptop or the ic diamond

also how many times a year do you have to apply the ic diamond on a laptop.

    thanx

  • @NINOBROWN914 Im not sure what your asking, IC Diamond 24 will actualy do a better job then thermal pads on your gpu's, A new compound will be released targeting the CPU. Although I havent used a better compound for CPU, In my opinion, Its the best there is. The thermal structure of the compound tends to excel at the fate of time, It doesnt break down like other compounds if applied correctly. Im not sure of there recomendation to be honest, but im prety sure it will outlast your laptop.

  • @stanbony ok thanks man.the laptop that im getting customized comes with ICdiamond but after seeing videos on how to use it i just thought if i put a cooling pad under my laptop it would cool the cpu just as good as applying the IC diamond.i wish i knew about computers like you do it would save me a shit load of money lol anyway thanks again for your help,i'll keep in touch. peace

  • wow never tried that stuff but alwasy used acrtic silver 3 or 5 ... might try it... thanks

  • At 06:53

Seriously, how much thermal paste did you put on? The fact that it's going over the sides of the CPU is a clear indicator you've put MILES too much on.

  • @compuman145 watch the video and you'll see, 5.5 millimeter drop in the center measured and done how Innovation cooling wants it applied, Dont be silly.

    Stanbony

  • haven't seen the compound in my country yet, but great video stan

  • @Bob8673 Thanxs bro!

    Stanbony

  • what a way to make a review... Nothing fancy but the good stuff!!! two thumbs up!!

  • @rich080392 You know it! Thanx man!

    Stanbony

  • I think that the heatsink itself with the mountings exerts 50lb+ of pressure on the cpu when installed, you dont have to push it yourself. I would have removed the heatsink again to check if id got proper coverage, better safe than sorry.

  • @AgtX999 Its not that scientific, at worst you might get a 1 to 2 degree difference, put the shit on, bolt it up, and your dood to go.

    Stanbony

  • Why use internet explorer? But Good Video Stan

  • so it made your system 3-4 degrees Celsius cooler than Arctic Silver? nice!

  • Great video good info!

  • @ComputerTechTV Thank you, Im gad you liked it.

    Stanbony

  • hey what is name of red fan ? at 13:41

  • @AsimisterMT Its an Enermax Apolish, They have a vegas version out now with 7 light modes, they move a ton of air and are super quit, but they'll set ya back 25 to 30 bucks a piece.

  • I am Glad you did not take my comments in a negative fashion.

ICD has provided fair evidence that the placement of a small dot of TIM in the middle of a surface to transfer heat from is best. Because of this type of application the spreading of TIME will require a couple of days time to complete so you can acheive the best result from this compound.

One way to prove this is to take reading immediately after application and then again at 6 hour intervals for the following 48 hours.

  • Great video man!! I have been eyebawlin this for sometime now..would you use this on GPU and NB as well ya think? That was my plan. The case looks really cool I cant wait to see it all finished.

  • @woomdawg From my understanding and I will get more confirmed information, IC Diamond was made exactly for a GPU type application, so for now I would say hell yes, but let me find out fore sure and I will gwt back to you.

    Stanbony

  • As usual, great video. I've never used IC Diamond before, but I can definitely attest to the application method shown in this video being far superior over the "spread" method. I've used various different methods and compounds, and putting a small dot in the center of the chip has given me better results over all other methods.

  • @jdookie2908 With this compound its real important to apply it in this fashion, A lot of testing was put in to show this is a far superior way to apply this compound, Thanx for the great comment.

  • A 100% Stanbonyfide product, love it man :) keep up the good work dude. Missed your vids man, good to see you back on youtube. Peace!

  • @CYB3RN1NJA Yes bro 100% Stanbonyfied! lol! glad you like it:) And im back 100% Peace bro.

    Stanbony

  • Great review Stan! loving a bit of AC/DC too reminds me of the movie Maximum Overdrive.

  • @DamoM3 lol just trying to keep it intresting, Not like some of those boring reviews you see out there.

    Stanbony

  • Great review bro!

I use Arctic Silver 5, And I heard allot about this stuff, im buying it soon to test it out.

  • @Sykes893 Thanks for the comment, I think you will be as surprised as I was.

    Stanbony

  • 50 pounds of pressure to a multilayer board near a BGA could create issues without board back pressure.

Application should be in a horizontal position for control of amount and positioning which is critical.

The heat generated alone by the CPU should provide more than enough drying. Normal drying under natural pressure / heat / and time is required to stabilize ICD.

Some say IC Diamond will etch away CPU markings, diamonds are hard and abrasive. Use caution when removing this TIM.

  • I always like to see additional information re: TIM applications.

I found the drying time interesting but how could this do much other than on the surface of the applied TIM. The heat generated alone by the CPU should provide more than enough to facilitate drying and I would think this TIM needs to be a bit wet due to the application technique. You have to spread a small dot of TIM over the CPU surface under pressure / heat / and time with IC Diamond.

  • @n9zn There was an addative used in the past that required a 10 minnute cure, I have come to find out the wait is not neccesary anymore, They have since removed the addative

    Stanbony

  • One question bro, i hope im not being nosy. Why are you shivering so much ' ?

    regards from iceland

    Alex

  • @axelleag I think he has an alchohol problem

  • @fickie321 And i can tell you that you are wrong so stop the bullshit thanx

  • @fickie321 I think you have no idea what your talking about.

  • @axelleag in old vid sayd he is car mechanic

  • @axelleag hes been a mechanic for 25+ years, all the pneumatic tools will do some damage to your body doing that everyday

  • @IIM80II I had no intention of being impolite. I am really from iceland. I was just asking. I understand now, ofc that kind of work will take its toll.

  • @axelleag OHHHH I get it!!! Shivering, Iceland!!! Good one!!!

  • Quallity review. I think im gonna swap my artic silver for that, cheers man

  • @CMAKD Since there are atleast 5 different Artic sillver compounds 5 being my favorite and what ive used, this gave me a 4 to 5c drop under load over the silver. No need for the 10 minnute wait anymore I have found out the addative has been removed.

    Stanbony

  • @CMAKD Thank you bro, trying to get back into it and come on strong

    Stanbony

  • StanB, you really cleaned up for this video ;)

  • I have 2 tubes of this stuff, it's all I use. the mx-4 is good also, the only thing about the diamond is you will notice it leaves more of a stain after it's been on you're processor a bit. But that doesn't hurt anything.

  • Nice im going to have to try this stuff. But im worried would 50 lbs of pressure damage pins in the cpu socket?

  • nice dude, getting it for my 875K

  • cool man glad it worked out for you !

=UFC=Thefriskypenguin and the IC Diamond team

  • Get that QX9650 past 4ghz!

  • A QX9650 is an Alright Backup Rig , Mine is a P4!...lol!..

  • I use a Non Adhesive Silicone based Fireplace Sealant , Works like a Charm and a tube is 1/2 pound and is 15$...

  • great product review. I'm gonna have to pick some of that up myself

  • When I make my computer I want to use this stuff :)

  • YAY!!
