  • A set of good all season tires will do the trick. Not as good as snow tires, but it will do for a fwd car though.

  • I find this woman very attractive...don´t know what it is, maybe it was her pantyhosed legs on the C Class review...but I am attracted to her anyway...

  • why can't you jack the car up to place them on and off?

  • Cool can you do a comparison with snow chains??

  • Buy 4by4 you cheapskates

  • Funny looking kitchen.

  • yeah a lot more reasonable than a set of winter tires? Did the fucking cunt just say that? did she really? How fucking stupid do you have to be to stand there and advocating buying that useless shite instead of a good set of winter tires that will prevent your family from being killed because you're a worthless twat that drives on summer tires... fire her now... do it.. fire the fucking cunt before she gets people killed

  • @SquirrelFromGradLife 'I am a pretty mellow guy but I could bite your face off'

I got that from your profile and personally, I think you have an attitude problem.

So do us all a favour, and STFU!

She meant 'reasonable' as over here in England, we don't really need winter tyres. So these are perfect for when the going gets tough.

Who's gonna pay £130 for some winter tyres when you can get these for £40?

Winter tyres are too soft for temps above 6 degrees and they'll wear really fast.

  • Will they do anything for driving in the mud?

  • love the fact she drove that renault straight into the curb, on lock, fairly hard. That'll need re-tracking

  • theres a guy on here who makes snow chains out of nylon rope..!!

  • easy to not get stuck bitch? stay in the kitchen!!!!!

  • the reporter is pretty cute

  • erm... learn to drive to the conditions maybe? I have an octavia VRS on normal road tyres and had no problems during the snow in the uk... just learn to drive. Any device that helps ignorant people go fast on snow and ice is a bad idea!

  • this is stupid if you got summer tires dont drive on snow Snow Socks stupid shit its a wast of money i drive 3 years with winter tires just drive normal and you wil be ok dont buy stupid products

  • I Use winter tires all year round no problem. they even work better in rain which is an issue here..they wear out a little faster usually in 2 years but theres no switching tires for winter time for this guy :D if you live anywhere it snows even a little it could save your life. I have still needed chains sometimes when its really bad and this might be a good solution.

  • votre truc ineficace c de la merde ca marche pas

  • "Use friction to improve grip" is a pretty silly statement for their product. Why? Cause that's what regular tires also do. Anyways, you'd never see me using these. Not when I can just get some rubber snow chains.

They do cost double those fabric socks, but you'll get better grip and tire protection. You can stop the car and put them on. You can drive on regular roads with them, but I wouldn't recommend such. Wears on the rubber and makes your car work harder.

  • I have a set of winter tyres on cheep steel rims. I put the winter wheels on in Nov and take them off in Feb, SIMPLES.

  • Hmm, I have a Renault Scenic and when i drive in deep snow i alway drive in 2nd and keep the accelerator to a minimum to stop the front wheel from spinning. The lady driving the car puts her foot down meaning losing control and the car sliding. Bad move darling. No need for foriegn crap.

  • "urm"

  • "Autosock uses friction to improve grip" I never would have guessed!

  • Snow? HA! I have a Land Rover Freelander 2 which has got some Avon Ranger Ice winter tyres on it. So I can combine the abilities of 4WD, snow mode on the terrain response and quality winter tyres rated for severe snow. Despite this however I still drive sensibly and appropriately as idiot drivers always get their comeuppance in the end. I have also joined a 4x4 response group to assist emergency services etc in winter (voluntary organisation I might add)

  • not a fair test, she flew round that corner first time..... be lucky to make that in wet weather, let alone snow.

  • "The more you use it the more hair it grows". Hmm thats what she said.

  • look at her clothes, they're all dirty now...

  • Shit ...this is small to my car 1:06 :P

  • Shit ...this is small to my car 1:06 :P

  • where can I get it in the US??

  • Forgot to add to my previous comment most people dont realise that snow tyres weight more than a standard tyre, wear out much quicker and they make you use more fuel, no point in lugging extra weight around and burning more fuel. Thats unless you are rich which means you probably dont care.

  • Great invention used em for two years same set, far better than snow tyres which i have used for many years. only drawback is taking em off when you hit tarmac as they get pretty filthy. Other than that these provide much better grip than snow tyres on your drive wheels cost me about £70.00 the pair but far cheaper than one new snow tyre which was nearly £200.00 . Do the maths, be a clever shopper.

  • these do work very well. my car is a focus st 2.5 turbo. in the snow it would not grip at all, once these sock were attached it drove just as normal. very highly reccommended.

  • Taking that corner at the speed the car was doing with the snow on the road was just silly. Taking it steadier would have made more sense given the road condition.

  • This product does work - we've used in the French/Italian alps/ski hills on snow, ice etc - made it up hills when other people could not. Easy to put on and off - does not take 2 people - one strong man works fine!

  • whaata you gonna do about it when u are stuck and cant drive back and forth to get them on and you dont have 2 people to take them off i guess for fucked then

  • good!

    whats next a car condom?

  • @MakPHL Believe me, it's already been done

  • @MakPHL

  • why why why what a waste of time and money " learn to drive!!!!"

  • Jesus! And I always see British people laughing their tune "Americans all alike"...... WTF is this bullshit???? The only drawback is when you drive, it can't hold up and is USELESS to you!!!!

  • crap

    rip off

  • crap

  • Uh...

A way of getting even better grip is NOT using worn down summer-tires in the first place.

  • Looks like a pain in the dick to get on and off...she puts them on...they're sideways...then the next shot they're perfectly centered. And she had to tug like shit to take them off.

Learning to drive in the snow better? Free.

  • For everyone saying to get winter tires, If you live where I do in Norfolk (Virginia, USA not England) then it usually only snows once or twice a year. Not enough to warrant a new set of tires. I live in a townhouse (rowhouse) and don't have anywhere to store an extra set of tires either. Think about other people aside from your own personal situation.

  • @Bumbley1 This is also the case for many people living in England, these socks are simply an option and of course different people will have different requirements.

  • @WhichWebsite are they legal in the US? they might come in handy for my s

  • @Bumbley1 however winter tyres work better in temps lower than 7c

Winter tyres are not just for snow, there fro the whole of the winter period. Wish people would realise this fact

  • @Bumbley1 Winter tyres actually perform better than summer tyres in all conditions (dry/wet/snow/ice) below approximately 7 degrees Celcius, not just in the snow. it is a lot of hassle and money to get them fitted though.

  • @DumpValvesAndDnB when was the last time you encountered wet conditions at -7 degrees Celsius.. :)

you need slim tires for wet conditions, as they offer the greatest psi footprint.

    god i'm annoying :(

  • @frackcha yes you are annoying! i said 7 not -7. and slim tyres may not aquaplain as much but a wide trye is still better on areas where there is no standing water such as a road with no puddles. "greatest psi footprint" this is jubberish aswell. your PSi and your tyres footprint are dependant on many variables including suspension gemetry, tyre compound and tyre temp. they are not a single unit as you say, "PSI footprint", this is bollocks. why needlessly flame anyway? get your facts straight

  • @DumpValvesAndDnB PSI footprint is more than adequate for the statement i was making, skinny tires effectively increase the weight on the road, (that was the PSI i was referring to, not the PSI in the tires) which, according the to the experiments i have seem, makes a big difference in wet conditions (not just hydroplaning)... plus i didnt flame you, did i say you where talking jiberish? or bollocks?? no, i just made a tongue in cheek comment... calm yourself dear, its only youtube

  • @Bumbley1 I use winter tires year round, they last about 2 years usually and work fine in all weather.

  • @MrROTD But regular tires tend to last double that time so you are kinda wasting money.

  • @Bumbley1 NORFOLK SUCKS!

  • @lowmonte1978 Good for you. It's not exactly my choice to live here anyway.

  • @Bumbley1 nether was mines when i was up there for 2 years :// , am glad i got out of the navy lol

  • @lowmonte1978 Yep, Marine Corps. I'm outta here this summer though.

  • @Bumbley1 your answer is all season tyres check bridgeston 001

  • thats sik

  • What a waste of money! They can't compare with winter tyres.

  • I'm thinking the only reason it took a few forward and backward rolls to get them on is because it's a woman doing it!! ;)

  • how about snow tires ?

  • @GhOsTxSNiiPER Hmm, 50 pounds for Snow Socks or 15,000 for a 4x4

  • @WhichWebsite I payed 1,500 for my 4x4 lol

  • @WhichWebsite ...another addtional 15,000 to fuel the 4x4 with todays fuel prices

  • @WhichWebsite cheapskate

  • Wonder how they are on a RWD car?

  • Just don't drive like a retard gunning the throttle, slamming on the brakes and steering aggressively. I'm sure you'd have been perfectly fine going around that corner at 15mph driving sensibly. Those socks can be useful but in the conditions in the example they are not required.

  • @trmmartin Maybe not required, and we always advise sensible slow speed driving in bad conditions, but what they do provide is additional safety and surely that is always a good thing?

  • how would these help if your car is stuck , you wouldnt be able to put them on because to do this, you have to move the car forwards and backwards. THESE THINGS SIMPLY DONT WORK !!!!!

  • @vectragsi99 They have got me unstuck a few times in deep snow. It takes a bit of practice to get them on right the 1st time. Also it doesn't need 2 to take them off.

  • @vectragsi99 You're right, if you car is knee deep in snow you would struggle to get them on without digging it out, but if you can move the car at least a couple of feet in either direction then you will be able to get them on. However if you are in a situation where you have gone somewhere and it snows and the local roads are snow covered then these are ideal to get you home in an emergency.

  • @vectragsi99

Doesn't sound as if you've actually tried them.... In my experience in the north of Scotland you can nearly always get moving a couple of feet either way and that's more than enough to fit them. If not, a few moments with a shovel does the trick.

  • Worth it though

  • 50 pounds? Those are the most pricey socks ever:D

  • They "use friction to improve grip". Clever stuff.

  • @wega3k i know! who wouldve thought eh?! :P

  • @wega3k hahah
