Hey man i had this same issue the trick to it is either break the ground pin off your laptop cable or, by this cheap adapter that can sit on your laptop cable that doesn't have ground issue.hope that helps.
I had this same problem, thank you! I have an HP PC with two different chargers, one good HP one and a cheap ebay replacement one. I had issues with the phantom static noise & the bargin charger, but when I unplugged the laptop it worked fine, and it worked just as good with the good charger plugged in.
Yeah this problem is because of the interference with the computers PSU, on laptops you can fix it by not having it plugged in but you always have it with a PC. The solution is.. buy a mac. I even tried a ground loop isolator and that didn't work
hey man i had the same problem i read somewhere that switching the laptop charger to a different plug circuit within the house works, it seems to hav sorted the problem for me.
@morenoz28 I have tried that and still had the same problem. What ive found helps the problem is if I unplug my TV from the mains it reduces the static. What cures the problem is unplugging the laptop charger completely from the mains - however of course you only get so long before you have to plug it back in again! To get the best of both worlds I changed my battery setting to 'Power Saver' rather than 'High Performance' and it uses less eleccy therefore reducing the static.
