Hi there. I watch a lot of your videos, they really help me out! However, I do have a question. When I build a water park, I tend to make the rides connected to the pool tiles, yet some of my guests are getting pissy, because they can't "find" the rides. Or don't want to go into the changing rooms to get to said rides. Guests also complain that they can't find food or anything to drink, when clearly, there is food, and water right outside of the pool complex. Help please?

Looks like that was around in 2005 and had a built in video adapter. I am leaning toward that being the issue. My suggestion would be to let it auto detect your graphics settings and see how that looks. If that still doesn't work then lower the settings all the way to the lowest resolution (like 800x600 or lower) and in LOD turn off anything fancy like water refelction/ripples/etc (if even available). Then keep trying to increase settings until you find your ceiling.

Nah you just left click on the water droplet icon and then left click on one of the sides of the hole you want water in (to fill to that point). If you have track from rides, paths, and possibly certain objects in the bottom of the hole then you can not fill it with water (unless you do the stuff in the TRUE Rides Under Water tutorial).
No cheats needed. But you do need either RCT3 with the latest service pack / update / patch from Atari (I have a video on that, but I think they changed on their site where it is now)... or in my case I have Platinum which has all updates and add on packs.

For the park I think you click on the entrance and edit... otherwise when you are working on a ride on of the options on the right bottom corner has the option for setting the ride cost.
I can not remember which part exactly. If you can still not find it let me know.

You may want to check out the other "true" under wanter tutorials I have. They may give you better results.
At 5:51 you can see what I am clicking on. There is in the bottom right of the construction window a picture of a track piece with a trash can next to it. If you click on that it deletes the last (or current selected) track piece and continues backward each time you click it.
I agree it is long, but I wanted to avoid 100's of questions or comments of "it does not work!" because people were doing it the wrong way. I needed to show what NOT because this way of doing it does not give the results that I think most would want related to seeing in the water. I just need to make another on the true way to have a ride in water.
I have a tutorial on settings that shows it... it is LOD (Level of Detail) settings in the display settings... you need to check the LOD box to see the added options.

You are very welcome... howeverrrrr... I suggest you do not use this method to do that. You will be very dissapointed with the results. On the #1 of my video series for this is a video post from someone else. I suggest you watch that video and use that method. It will be MUCH better... I may make a tutorial on that way later.
I'm not aware of any way to do that... I just keep clicking on the day icon at the top of the screen when that happens... but maybe that can't be done in game... not sure cuz I always work in sandbox mode.
on that sun/night icon, click on it and you'll have just an image of a sun or just night and it will lock it just day or just night (only in sandbox mode/scenerio editor).
You dont need an expansion pack to do it....its easy. (in the normal RCT3 it resets it when you load the save in unless you got soaked/wild)
I think so... I think Wild is the part that is used for cutting into ground... but if you apply the most recent update (if there is one for gold) you should be fine.
There is another way to do this that has better results... it is in the video response to this video.
do you have to get the original version first before putting the platnium edition because last time i got the soaked version only and when i tried it said i need the original version.

If it is a lagit copy of the game then I am not sure why it is asking, but like I say I always have had to have the CD. If it doesn't work then try installing the game again over the top of the current install or remove the game and install fresh.

Well... there is another way to do this that mayyyybe will not result in that. Check the video that was linked by someone else to the first video in this 3 parter.
The problem with the underground method is that it looks like you're underground when you build it. There's another harder way but looks better. I've done a tutorial on it....
You are completely correct... and now that I have seen how to do it with the options.txt change and having the track partially underground... I am soooo much happier. I am thinking of removing my videos on this topic so that people do it the easier way. THANKS!
Oh... and fences I have found also restrict water. So, just start with a regular boring hole to get the idea. Then when you know how it works you can find out what makes it not work.
You just click on the side walls of the hole with the water tool (the icon changes to a droplet of water I think). The catch is that there can be nothing in the

To fix that... just remove one of the window pieces and then place one back in again... should make things clear once again.

I did say it was an exploit or bug I believe... but I have RCT3 with all updates and I can still do it... so not sure how it is patched.

Yeah if you had Wild it would work... but I think if you apply Update 3 to the base RCT3 you can still do it.

If I remember correctly, RCT2 keeps the sides closed when building underground & underwater, so no. It won't work in RCT2.

dude why dosent my rct3 make tunnels? i also can not add water....if i need to update tell me how....i dont know why it wont add water and it wont let me have tunnels....please answer

What version of RCT3 do you have? If you have just the base RCT3 then you need to apply Update 3.
Did you put anything in the hole before trying to add water? You can not add water if you have a path on the bottom or rides or stuff like that.

The problem with the underground method is that it looks like you're underground when you build it. There's another harder way but looks better. I've done a tutorial on it....

You are completely correct... and now that I have seen how to do it with the options.txt change and having the track partially underground... I am soooo much happier. I am thinking of removing my videos on this topic so that people do it the easier way. THANKS!

Have you applied Update 3? I have a video on updates.
If you have and it still does not work, then you probably need Soaked or Wild.

Because it moves slowly and I need that to illustrate what is seen from inside. Had I used a coaster then it would be way too fast.

Yes, it will work on a MAC. Do a YouTube search for RCT3 CSO and there will be tutorials on how to add them.

Oh... and fences I have found also restrict water. So, just start with a regular boring hole to get the idea. Then when you know how it works you can find out what makes it not work.
