  • Triggering drums is a cosmetic tool to cover up for lacking the skill the play something properly at high tempos. It's not THAT big of a deal, but in the end it's using a machine to be able to do what other, better drummers can do naturally.

    1:11 is a perfect example where you can hear great double bass with the triggers, then when it stops and you keep playing it the way you were it can barely be heard before you realize it and start playing louder, sloppier double bass.

  • faster not, but tim's technique sounds like garbage without triggers.. I prefer singles, dont like those fancy twitching heel-toeish swievelish trying to hit fast techniques..
