It's called a Snapping Turtle. There is no size reference in this video. Creature could only be 2 feet long. Does anyone have the ABC news video of Champ from 2004 ? They pulled it down because the fishermen who filmed it want money. That was the goods.
Thanks for taking the time to stabilize. Nice job.
No ears, so not a deer. Head too short for a moose. Too large for a muskrat, beaver, or otter. No idea what it is, but it looks alive, and doesn't appear to be any of those things. Interesting, certainly.
How is shooting from a tv screen an "enhancement". If anything it is an unenhancement. The original is always better than the copy. Especially in this case.
Okay, Jimmystickles....You are fucking Retarded to think that is a Muskrat. That is deffenetly not champ...If he was real. I live in VT, and believe me champ is not real.
im from montreal qc...i go there all the time...no offence but the water is way too shallow this close to the shore plus u can actually see a buoy! it does NOT look like anything ive seen before tho..cant wait to see it on nbc tonite at 10
This was taken 3 days ago on a cell phone and ran in our local paper. This has not been photo shopped apparently or tampered with in anyway. The video taker does not claim this to be champ.
I agree, what happened when it got to shore. I think some jogger or biker whould have seen this critter on the bike path. What did the cameraman see when it got to shore, if it was a Moose it would have left the water ?
I think Champ is a cetacean. The neck is its dorsal fin. It lied half-submerged in the water with its dorsal fin sticking out at the end of the vid.

UCDan, try the other one, "video enhanceent 2," and see if it works better. I made use of the stabilized version of the footage.

Its probably a moose drowning in water

I thought it was a otter. But the strange thing about it is it has a more longer head. Also there should be antlers on if it's a moose.
