I agree I think the majority of people are bisexual IF they were to be completly HONEST with themselves. I've always thought that there are very few people who are either 100% straight or 100% gay. Down Syndrome is not a result of dominant or recessive genes, but rather an entire EXTRA chromosome (Chromosome 21, specifically for Down Syndrome) that fails to segregate in the parental gametes during meiosis. This process of the chromosomes failing to segregate in any part of meiosis is called nondisjunction.
But a basic understanding of genetics is not necessary to understand this Human Rights Issue.

It doesn't matter whether homosexuality is an immutable trait or something one can alter by choice. If there's nothing wrong with it (and there isn't) then it doesn't matter. It annoys me when those who are pro-gay argue that homosexuality is not a choice. So what if it is?! Your notion of dominant vs. recessive genes is flawed. It has nothing at all to do with how many parents carry the gene. That would influence the likelihood of the gene being heterozygous or homozygous in their offspring.
Studies of twins do indicate a strong genetic influence....it is more complex than birth order.
The choice/genetic argument is complete nonsense anyway. Our country is all about consenting adults having choice. Discrimination, in any form, is wrong.
Very good video, Mr. Trucker, and with one comment per every ten views, it seems like you are hitting many of the right notes. Some of the physiology in the studies you cite are not as definitive as they may seem. The data sets are often too small to overcome individual variations, etc, but many believe it's the right track. I believe it's largely biological, but ya can't dissect people just to find out. As for birth order, that makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint too.

If the mother has given birth to several males, the last thing she'd need, was to have these more aggressive offspring killing each other off before they could produce the next generation. I agree I think the majority of people are bisexual IF they were to be completly HONEST with themselves. I've always thought that there are very few people who are either 100% straight or 100% gay. It's funny though most people deny bisexual people and say they're either closeted gay or they HAVE to be one or the other and there's no inbetween, I don't get that.

Ehh.. Heart is in the right place, but "Genetics 101" was a little less than factual. Down Syndrome is not a result of dominant or recessive genes, but rather an entire EXTRA chromosome (Chromosome 21, specifically for Down Syndrome) that fails to segregate in the parental gametes during meiosis. This process of the chromosomes failing to segregate in any part of meiosis is called nondisjunction.
But a basic understanding of genetics is not necessary to understand this Human Rights Issue.

Your notion of dominant vs. recessive genes is flawed. It has nothing at all to do with how many parents carry the gene. That would influence the likelihood of the gene being heterozygous or homozygous in their offspring.
Studies of twins do indicate a strong genetic influence....it is more complex than birth order.
The choice/genetic argument is complete nonsense anyway. Our country is all about consenting adults having choice. Discrimination, in any form, is wrong.

Very good video, Mr. Trucker, and with one comment per every ten views, it seems like you are hitting many of the right notes. Some of the physiology in the studies you cite are not as definitive as they may seem. The data sets are often too small to overcome individual variations, etc, but many believe it's the right track. I believe it's largely biological, but ya can't dissect people just to find out. As for birth order, that makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint too.

If the mother has given birth to several males, the last thing she'd need, was to have these more aggressive offspring killing each other off before they could produce the next generation. Some day, perhaps, they will pin down a tag in the genome, that will help to understand it. Fundamentalists won't be impressed, but they are inured to facts that contradict their... views.

Down syndrone is caused by an autosomal mutation during independant assortment as part of meiosis.
while certain factors promote down syndrome, it can occur in people with no dispostion towards producing affected offspring at all, in other words it can occur at random while recessive inheritance cannot.
In any case I agree with you.
Whatever the cause, homosexuality is never a choice.

But you obviously haven't been listening if you think we accept overt displays or over the top discussion of masculinity or sexual exploits. That's probably why straights don't approve either of overt displays of sexuality from Gays and Lesbians.

@TheNolo73 I used to argue the "we're all equal' thing in my adolescence. But then as I matured I realized we're not all equal, and that some are more equal than others. Do you really feel you're equal to say Hitler, or Obama, or Madonna? Are you equal to a child living in poverty in India, or equal to Mr trump? You may have or obtain equal rights, to obtain the equality of others. but that doesn't mean you're currently equal.

@allice444 Read the book "nature via nurture" it describes about 4 different ways people are born gay, it is not just genetic drift (not a defect). Watch this video again for other examples of non-genetic causes

In the same manner, science has to be without bias. Just as the supposed science on anthropogenic global warming " has been decided" that it is anthropogenic, it has only been decided by those with a clear political and or income based agenda, not by open minded unbiased scientists. One will always find evidence in support of a particular argument.
