Wow that was awesome. I especially loved the music, but not necessarily the drill, but it gets the job done for a band of that size. Anyways, how much do you guys practice, I'm just wondering in comparison to my high school.

oh yeah, i was there for vboda. it was pretty windy for us (woodson) but we just barely escaped the bad weather. then it rained on robinson. and then you guys got the worst of the wind. i mean hats flying everywhere, it was pretty amusing actually, no offense. haha

Brings me back, too. I graduated in 1995.  I was wondering how the band was going to practice during the renovation. Great job, especially considering the lack of practice space!

Wow, this sure brought me back (I graduated in 96). I'm glad Mr. Holder is still standing firm behind the fact that it is a marching BAND, not a marching circus. He never believed in all the extra hoopla (props, dancing around, standing still, easy music). I bet it's been tough not having the blacktop to practice on.

Lol I would kill to be able to have a peot and peasant show... The whole thing is like carousel music. Honestly, look at the origonal "rollercoaster tycoon" game and listen to the music on the carousel, its the same music.

Now, william tell I just don't think fits very well in this show. I did it for my marching band's 05 show, and it was amazing. Cowboy costume shows own :P

I want to make a comment regarding the drill:

Our drill had to be very minimalistic in this season because we did not have a full field to practice on. Lake Braddock is undergoing a three year renovation - for those three years, the blacktop (and thus, our practice marching lot) is a little more than 2/3s covered in trailers. So the band couldn't really move anywhere, and the guard certainly couldn't be integrated into the band.

Fortunately, for the coming season '07, the big lot is back.

i dont like doing classical songs for marching band. if its classical. it has to have that classical taste. u cant really have fun when ur in drumline and u do classical songs. sure. its fun for the winds. cuz im in drumline. we did a medley of mozart once and i thought i was going to die. no fun whatsoever.

Went to Robinson HS in the early 80's. Do you have any vids of you guys when you wore the Bridgmen bananna uniforms and you played Rocky Point Holiday? Your band crushed the nation in the 80's. You dont seem as aggressive as back then. Still good though.

I'm a LBSS Class of 77 Grad. Looking good!!! Why doesn't LBSS take part in the Bands of America? Any way if you want to see what a real winner looks like check out the Marching Greyhounds of Carmel, Indiana the BOA Grand National Winner (i.e. 1 out of 12578 Bands Nation Way.)

You are correct. As far as Drill goes it looks like LBSS is marching just as they did in the 70s no change, plus they are going to have to do something with the visuals (i.e. the Guard).
