i'm lucky to have watched this russian team--sokolova, artamanova, belikova, vasseilevskayya, godina, titchenko, gamova--here in manila, philippines during the world grand prix several years back. we haven't had any of the world grand prix legs here since then, and thousands of filipinos miss these beautiful women.

Thanks for the vid. I LOVE RUSSIA since I was a small kid. Cried so many times after Sydney and Athens...was so disappointed in Beijing. Artamonova is the best...miss her loads. Only Gamova left from that great team.

i will never forget how much i cried TWICE because of this team. After Athens semifinals and after the World Cup finals. But, time brings revenge... and Brasil got its revenge. We had the deserved gold in the Olimpics. :) Keep going Brasil!!

amazing- Russia was losing 14-12 to Brazil (2 match points) in the Olympic Semifinal and won 16-14. Then in the Gold Medal Final went from 2-0 of advantage to 3-2 in the tiebreaker and lost gold to China :(
