people need to stop comparing prototype to infamous . The only thing they have alike is free roaming . The rest is extremely different. Prototype is better than infamous . I hate infamous , you cant just free roam in the streets without getting shot at either your a good or a bad guy. and the mele of infamous sucks . Prototype is awesome !

@Kevfate I notice a trend where people who prefer Infamous see story as a high priority while Prototoype fans see gameplay as more important. While I find story and gameplay both to be important, aside from Metal Gear Solid, gameplay is more important to me. And I hate the first InFamous's cutscenes. The second game's story is fascinating enough to put up with the cutscenes, though.

It doesn't matter of the story, because if the gameplay is fun, I'll continue to play it. Much like Mafia 2. Also people like to say stuff about the graphics. I'm sure they wouldn't be saying that in 1999. I'm still playing Mercenaries 2. The story doesn't really appeal to me, but the gameplay is fun as hell

Agreed Gameplay is what people play games for. Otherwise it would be a CGI movie. Never seen Mafia 2. But yeah. Not only that, but graphics age and become obsolete. Many 90s games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot and MGS were considered to have great graphics for their time, but now compared to their games in, say, 2008 (the last year the 3 mentioned had a game in the same year) looks like shit now. But the gameplay is still good. Not to say the modern ones aren't good either, though.

Seriously it's obvious that the game was released later so that the better game (infamous) would help increase the sale of prototype due to the fact they are similar (plus it's more than likely they had 2 different teams working on this then had a decision which would make more sales etc etc.)

Graphics: too bad for 09 game!

Story: If you like it! I i do not know anything bout mercer and i'm not familiar with this character (inFamous=better)

extremly similar games by the same publisher. inFamous is more fun but i like fps more, and also third person games like ac 1+2+3 are 100 times better!

@yeahhayhay Prototype is not too good looking on PS3 that's true but on PC it has got some kickass graphics.That's because they had to make the graphics worse for the ps3 because that was the only way to make it smooth.You know PC is powerfuller than the consoles.Crytek said they had to slow down with the graphics of Crysis 2 to make it run on consoles without lagging.That's because while the PC improves every week consoles improve only when they got upgraded to PS4 or XBOX 720.
