We NEED more George Harrison's in this world. Taken away way too soon. One can only wonder what his future solo albums, or Traveling Wilburys Vol 9, could have given us. His loss does make you cry as you listen to the amazing music he gave us. But All Things Must Pass, just not so early.
I could not even go back to see him in Japan because US immigration said I could not leave the country while my visa application was pending... I missed his concert, missed my sister's wedding, and missed my best friend's wedding all in Japan.
Anyone know the blonde back up singer's name? Have seen her in a lot of Claptons vids and now this. she apparently was with Eric for years. Just curious.
eric played the second half of the solo but our chunk urine colored pearl harbor bombing slant eyed devil cocksucker who filmed this..films like japs build nuke plants....like shit
i am not a racist....i am going on a trip to japan because i got the best hotels for cheap....nobody wants to vacation there now...fear of the nuclear radiation
but i am going there with my american money and i am going to live it up like a king..and the jap whores....i will bang loads of them and they are charging a lot less because tourism is in the toilet...
i will have a blast, save a fortune..thanks for the tsunami and radiation...more money in my pocket
just got back from my japan vacation...the place was a friggin ghost town...i stayed at a 5 star hotel...meals included...got the deal of a lifetime...and i booked two hookers per night...poor things are starving with tourism in the toilet...
i need a vacation from that vacation....banged loads of whores, ate and drank like a friggin king...and it cost me 75 percent less then my last trip to japan and i got more "bang" for my buck!!!
dum post about EC in the beatles, but if he was I'm sure it would have been giant' He's one of the most tasteful player's of all time and never overbearing. He's all about being a collaborator.
its wonderful George was that nice of a guy he remained friends with Eric. Its also rare to see George playing lead guitar- he usually lets Clapton do it. George has proved many times though that he CAN "Clapton" as good as the rest of them when he wants too- and flashy doesnt always mean good. Clapton wouldnt have fit in The Beatles- he wouldve wanted to put in guitar solos in everything while eorge was perfect at making it interesting but not flashy and staying behind the scenes kinda
Love this version. Tecnically, I think EC is a tad better than George, but I love George so much and I miss him terribly. I didn't cry when John died, but I broke down and wept like a baby when George died. Read Patti's book, then EC's book. Same story from different perspectives. George also wrote a book, sort of, actually written by a ghost writer, but his take was interesting, as he hardly acknowledged Patti's existence. Makes one ponder...
@acebbelt haha i was a cherry new soldier on 9/11. i ended up crying about my first ever love/girlfriend to the company commander about being deployed and not wanting to leave her then. this song so reminds me of her.
Beautiful...this song always brings a tear to my eye...ironic how it was written for the woman that both of these great musicians had at some point of their lives...
he mixes the verses up: he sings "something in the way she knows" and that verse before "somewhere in her smile she knows" and the following verse.
