I think Messers.Iglhaut Gmb H does the conversions for Mercedes in Germany. It may be a manual transmission with permanent 4 wheel drive. There are many interior variations, but mostly you see plenty of "space" inside. Do you have a spare $120k for one? It has good ground clearance and decent approach and departure angles, in the short wheel base version especially.

Would you believe it is aluminum? 85 pounds worth! 12,000 pound warn winch. Really, the pop top is more useful, but the roof rack is cool too. Trojan and Aluminess, when good enough, is not good enough!! Are you in a position to get one of these rigs?
