old or young or dead chaplin is a genius always was and always will be, the tramp is only a bit of his creations even though it was the most noticeable one. and he liked younger women no Q about that but he's not the only celebrity that is like that, woody allen for example married his foster daugther, thats a bit off isnt it? no matter what turned chaplin on he is a genius and its not ppl business what turned him on.
I agree with chunky9593. And I alsp agree with TheLittleFellow. I think it's hard to see the older and younger Chaplin as even being the same person. And he seemed to be, I don't want to say cold, but maybe standoffish and harsh with his children. Well, he WAS old enough to be the grandfather of the 8 with Oona, so maybe he just didn't have the patience! But overall, what wonderful accomplishments that little Cockney boy achieved. They were dreams he admitted he never even dared to dream. :-)

It's hard (for me) to see him as an old guy. :\ Since I love Chaplin so much, but not to be harsh, but I don't actually like him as old since that not the man i fell i love with, not the man I'm a fan of. And it seems like he have lost his humour and never talks about his younger days and when he were the funniest man in the world when he's older ..
Why did it take me so many years to discover that Chaplin was much more than a funny little character of silent movies? Why so long to enjoy his humanism, his music, his deep sense of social justice, his sacrifice to art and to principles, and the pervading melancholia underneath.

At the beginning, at the up-left there is Eric James who accompanied Chaplin in the studio. Thank you for posting this interesting video. Eric James helped Chaplin to write down his music on the late 20 years of life. Mr. James died on 2007 at over 90 years. His life was really wonderful and his friendship too. Thank you Eric!

Is this REAL! Every Chaplin fan knows this score is from The Kid! How in hell can someone name this piece Brazil. Brazil is a samba piece. This piece is called-I Think- Blue eys. I might be wrong but I said it! Good God this can't be real!
he made the bulk of his money WORLDWIDE... he just lived in the US and paid the large TAXES! he was a VERY well paying guest. until, as usual, when someone other than a politician gains some kind of power they discredit them.

I wonder if Chaplin got very happy when people could his music, to play his music.
I wonder if Chaplin got happy for all the fans and all the inspired people too, or if he didn't like the attension..

What is your source that says this was shot in Brazil? All the information I can find says that Chaplin recorded these scores in England.
RobtRobt 4 years ago
RobRobt...I believe the music is called "Brazil". It's an instrumental music only, very beautiful. Search it on the net.
Salute!

Ahh. Silly me. I should have figured that out. Although this melody is not the one I associate with a piece of music with the title "Brazil."
