you should record the samples for the chorus and verse while you play them and loop them live. then asssigned them to you pK pads so you could switch between them that way.

then use the knobs and the x-y touch to tweak the samples while you hands are free and stuff

I'm not sure but I think it's because he uses Ableton, he certenly cut samples with an other program and put them into the Drum Rack of ableton. Than he can do whatever he wants with them :)

Ei thank you Kaerson! I found the way... You're right. I cut my samples with Pro Tools and draw them to the Structure (virtual sampler). Afterwards, in the envelope options I rose the release value to the highest and that's all!! Thus you can trigger your chopped samples by just touching the pad. It is advisable to put the polyphony in 1 to avoid the overlaping of the triggered samples.

go to preferences in padkontrol librarian software(the one you use to transmit scenes) and choose midi in and out...then it should work. FL doesnt come on the cd I think and ableton is there, its called Live 6 lite or something like that...

the samples can be triggered in any sampling plugin, or reason, or he might have it hooked up to a MPC or MV. all you need is a sampler (either hardware or software, but he's using software) to do it. The padkontrol comes with some apps that let you do this. the guy that made this video got creative with it though. Props!

you won't regret it. I looked at all of them and this is gave me what I need and the pads are very sensitive. The touch can control anything. Also be warned when comparing M-Audio Trigger Finger only gives you 16 velocity levels (they don't tell you that).

Using it with ableton...basicaly got the beat from a nas tune but yeah the original is impeach the president, heard quite a few tunes using that beat including the theme tune to scrubs haha. Then the lupe sample I just cut from the start of the song

The software that comes with the PadKontrol is superior. The PadKontrol has better pads, but the MPD has a bunch of extra knobs and faders. If you need extra knobs and faders get something like a Evolution UC-33e later. It's worth the extra. But then again... it's all on how you use it.
