We won this game in a shootout. We also won the 7 other games.
Good job by Philly coming back this season and getting the first 4 games of the season series. The Pens came back and outscored Philly 15-5 in the next 3 games after that. And then in the season finale, we sat Crosby and both teams played like crap, with the Flyers winning it 2-0 with an empty netter.
Even if Biron plays his heart out, the Flyers won't have an answer for the Pens' onslaught.
Yea..im a flyers fan, but i picked the Pens to win in 5 after i realized that Kimmo Timonen was going to be out for the series, and when Coburn went down in game 2, the Flyers didn't stand a chance with how exposed their defense would become. But even with both defensemen in, the Pens had too many weapons for the Flyers to contain, so it would probably go 1 game more, at most....possiblyto game 7.
As for the 2006-07 season...yea the Pens really beat up the Flyers. That season was horrendous mostly because of the Flyers really slow defense and trying to play the old NHL style. It was actually 15-6, in the Pens favor, and the Flyers outscored the Pens 20-8 in the first 4 games. It'll be interesting this upcoming season, with how the season series plays out.
coburn got his first goal on fleury he was also the defencemen in the world juniors who fleury shot the puck at him and bounced off his chest and went in to lose to the americans by that one play COBURNS THE BEST!
