This is why you don't call your average child a genius....He thinks he's smart,he say's stuff thinking it's smart.Imagine how much more respectable his opinions would be if he knew his limitations. WhatHeOughtToKnow.
I would really, REALLY, appreciate it if this "white guy," as he lets himself be known, would get a Sociology degree and look at the definite or refined status of what it means to be a "race." Apparently this "genius" doesn't realize that racism is not individualistic (this is called discrimination smart one), but race is a societal and institutionalized system. Its historical, economic, etc, etc. and your out-of-your a-hole opinion does not make me believe you. At least use Wikipedia.
I am mixed race in I suppose in the sense I've been rather lucky compared to lots of people here and in the world as my school/city is generally OK. Though that I have been subject to some racism and I have known one guy who called me "inpure" all the time.
However I never understood why? Why do people not bother to see what the person is like? Judge people by the content of their character, no? But I also agree counter racism shows you're equally shallow. So yeah, just what I think. Good video
@imRyRy You don't know me in the slightest bit. I also don't know you in the slightest bit either, so I'm done wasting time on here and I take back my ''fuck yourself" remark.
(part 2) In the end, it isn't hatred. No it isn't love like some watered down racists would say to you. It is a negative overt expression of our dislike for the situation caused by said person or peoples presence. Ultimately, what I am saying is we all deep enough want our own kind.
We simply don't care about the rest. Ask any NBPP, Wotanist, Nation of Islam, Zionist, this and no doubt you will, in some restructured manner hear the same concern. A nation for and by your own kind.
I also am not sure but if Bill Cosby said something along the lines of black/colored/oppressed people should "take responsibility and get over it", I believe he spoke rashly. On the contrary, the people in the positions of favor in society should "take responsibility and get over it" and look at how and why they have the advantages that they may have, and if they come to the conclusion that it is because of horrible things that their ancestors may have done, they should do something about that
I make errors quite often and misunderstand things, and also maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but did you say to just forget about racism, just let it go? I'm sure you had the best intentions making this video, but even if instantly, everyone on this planet held no prejudices, wouldn't basically every society still have been built on the backs of specific groups of oppressed people and because of that there now exists a hierarchy, that unless spoken about, would remain the same forever
@StacksNyc80 One thing you should understand before jumping to the conclusion that since a country (don't pin that on the US when racism and slavery still exist today) it is important to know the history of slavery & its origins. Slavery never began in the US & the idea itself sprung from a "conqueror and conquered" mentality that is established in over 90% of civilizations in history. Also in terms of time,America has the least amount of time historically in owning and using slaves.
@GodMn6 Well you seem to be an intelligent person, so I must assume that you don't for one moment imagine that because slavery in the usa ended "legally" 147yrs ago, that it truly ended that day. That's really besides the point though because what I was trying to convey was that even if we all forgot there was ever a such thing as slavery or racism, there would still be certain groups of people in certain positions because of what actually happened in the past, and leaving any racism aside,
@GodMn6 those people would form groups/units/teams/govt's and of course would look out for each other (nepotism), and there is nothing intrinsically wrong with that, except it means that all sorts of opportunities are not as easily accessible to certain other groups of people. Forgetting about "it" certainly doesn't help deal with the disequilibrium, but I don't have the answers, I'm just a high school drop out from nyc.....Peace
@StacksNyc80 Well I won't judge you or your words based on where you went educationally. That would be foolish, I would draw your attention though to the seemingly endless road that nepotism is. If we as a people continue to trudge through seemingly endless days always thinking of past actions and drawing relevance from them we are never going to advance let alone mature as a country. Personally this does sound good on paper but it can also be done in real life.
@GodMn6 Well we agree, racism is stupid, let's love each other. I don't believe you and I are in disagreement about that. I'm a mixed race individual myself & my 3 closest friends are black, white, & indian, so believe me, it's all love! This video was about more than that though, & I didn't like it lol....on another note I've sold everything I own, quit my job & in May I'm leaving nyc to drive through the usa down to central & south america
@StacksNyc80 Forgetting isn't an action that should be taken, however learning from it is much more active and efficient. Think about all the hate that exists today all based on the founding principles that people don't want to forget their "pain." Yes there is pain, there was pain, and I am 100% sure there will be future pain. But does this give us the right to continue to live with it? I wouldn't want to. For those of us who have experienced pain its not fun or enjoyable so why harbor it?
@StacksNyc80 Our system isn't perfect not by a long shot, but when each of us take time out of our busy day and do something about the issues at hand, most of the issues would disappear. Racism is a monster that can be destroyed by simply someone dropping the stones, the swords, the hurtful words, the biased teachings, the unfair doctrines. Things can and will get better provided everyone desires it to get better. With no desire to let those feelings go nothing will change.
@StacksNyc80 But your comment, I hope, isn't targeting slavery. My only point of clarification I want to ask is, "Why do you believe it is so important to continue to harbor enough resentment for this issue to keep it alive? Slavery ended almost 50+ years ago. In fact the specific date was January 31, 1865. That's 147 years ago. So unless you are 148 or older this issue isn't even a recent event. But I am not here to attack you idea just desire you know the facts more before posting stuff.
Racism = Racism. I went to a school where whites were the minority and I had A LOT of discrimination against me for the color of my skin (I'm white.) Everyone just needs to step back and look at themselves before they open their mouths. Can YOU be a better person?
Racism, tribalism and all the other -isms is something we will forever deal with. A friend once said even if God was to come down and make us all one race, one religion one language, we still will look for something to differentiate and segregate. We could go as extreme as blonds vs black hair vs brown hair, or tall people vs short people. We always find something to fight over, i think this flimsy way of thinking is something we generally have to live with
Witty, charming and most importantly: simply true...
This is why I still like this channel eventhough they defended ID. It's as simple as that, treat others with respect and you can demand to be treated the same way, even if you don't share opinions... And yes, it is hard to give respect when it's not given to you but denying others the right that is taken from you... now that's not irony, it's plain stupid.
@kindAhumaNbeinG There's a difference between respecting people and respecting their opinions or ideas. A distinction many people fail to make or recognize but an important one I think. For example I would show someone who believes in creationism as much respect as I would anyone else but I would not respect or show any respect for their belief in creationism.
@DSBrekus That's what I was trying to say. But to be honest, sometimes I still have to realise that I can not always live up to my own expectations. Especially when someone is very persistently trying to force believes which I cannot respect on me, I find it hard to be able to differenciate. I guess it is a natural reaction to something one sees as threat and our brain does prioritise those reactions over moral behaviour (for obvious reasons).
@DSBrekus ...human being to respect others as long as they do no harm. But being able to always be respectful, even if you feel threatend by someone (for example people trying to underminde education), is something we have to learn, sometimes the hard way. I for sure do still have a lot of learning ahead of me but I guess, but I do think that this is the only way to make a difference. When we are not willing to give respect, we might never have a chance to speak up for what is right...
@kindAhumaNbeinG Agreed, it is very hard sometimes to take the high road. Takes a lot of practice to calm down and separate those immediate emotional reactions from a real rational response. That being said you can still show anger and other emotion but you have to focus it towards the topic of discussion, not the other person. Sometimes its a fine line to tread especially when a lot of people are prepared to be grievously offended at the slightest disagreement, but you can't control that.
@DSBrekus True. I see, you seem to be a very clever and mature person, something that is quite rare.
But because people tend to get offended even when the discussion is focused on the topic, I tend to back off way to easily. I just not always see the need to "waste" my energy on people who obviously do not want or are not able to give it a go and think about it rationally. Sometimes I feel that this sort of resignation or indifference makes me act...
@DSBrekus...disrespectful towards others, since it somewhat is like saying "I don't believe that you are able to accept reason", which is quite rude if you think about it. But well, the trick would be to try and change the things we can, to accept those we cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference (at least one wise thing we should have learnt from religious texts). ^^
@kindAhumaNbeinG Perhaps, it is difficult with people like that but I still see the value in challenging their ideas firmly. Even though there is no chance that they will change their mind then and there they will likely think about it later "hmm that person seemed really sure maybe I should look into this" something along those lines and that can hopefully lead them to the truth. I know its frustrating and slow but it's a long uphill battle we face, and it's worth facing IMHO.
Racism and Xenophobia are cousins, that's why those who have xenophobia are sometimes called racist, i feel sorry for those who have it and being called racist..
@tearhere11 Xenophobia is an irrational fear of foreigners... if someone thinks someone is dangerous just because they are foreign they're not necessarily racist but definitely bigoted.
Racism is a defensive mechanism; a function of the Reptillian brain (R-complex). When people feel under threat - meet Godzilla :) It also controls survival functions and the SEX drive and mate selection (also a survival mechanism). The Love Gun can be an genocidal weapon. Interesting to realise love choice is a survival function, so how does it pan out for the different races. May explain the numbers of single black mums have so many kids, but many black men marry a white woman.
individually, i think we're all the same, with the same fears, desires, etc. but collectively is where you see genetics and culture take effect.
Put asians on an island, you get Japan.
Put europeans on an island, you get Britain.
Put africans on an island you get.....haiti/domincan republic....jamaica...tasmania....papau new guinea....or just look at the continent of africa itself. at what point do you stop calling that a coincidence? and at what point do you stop blaming whitey?
@eleutheromaniac That is ridiculous. To address Haiti and the Dominican Republic, white people put black people there, which is a place with almost no clean water and too many people for the few resources that are there. also those just examples of how resources are unequally distributed. of course there are wars in Africa over where each tribe is supposed to be, because each tribe wants to be around the best resources. Although I agree that everyone needs to try harder.
@eleutheromaniac Don't be ridiculous. Anyone can pull examples out of their ass supporting anything they want to argue for. Real evidence shows no real difference, its culturally enforced prejudices that mold people into stereotypes. Kind of like the BS you just said.
@DSBrekus yeah, but see the thing is i didn't pull those examples out of my ass; i pulled them from a map & pop. statistics.
if u want to refute what i say, it's a fairly simple thing to do: point to a region on the map where africans are the majority, that isn't either A) still stuck in the stoneage, like Papau New Guinea, or B) in a state of poverty and desolation like Compton, Harlem, or basically the entire continent of Africa itself.
@eleutheromaniac I'm not trying to refute what you said I'm pointing out the stupidity of the argument you used to support it and the fact that such stereotyping is a self fulfilling prophecy.
When I said pulling examples out of your ass I didn't mean you made them up I meant that you picked examples that fit the point you wanted and generalized from those specifics, a fallacious argument that anyone can use to support any point.
@DSBrekus pure nonsense. 'self-fulfilling prophecy' is unsubstantiated psycho-babble. but even if it weren't, how exactly did our stereotypes keep the tribes of Papa New Guinea or countless other isolated African tribes from advancing even as far as the Bronze Age?
ironically you'd make a good nazi: ur essentially saying that the white man is so powerful that our simply believing something to be true about another race makes it so. even goebbels would have a hard time selling that propaganda.
@DSBrekus and if my argument were so 'fallacious' there would be countless examples to refute it. as it is you didn't even try to find a single one because you know no such example exists.
Fallacious arguments are structural unsound, meaning the argument is weak regardless of the specifics.
Self-fulfilling prophecies are not pyscho-babble, its a well known phenomenon.
Lastly its not a matter of believing something and making it true but rather making other people believe something about themselves and therefore them making it true.
@eleutheromaniac I'm just a little confused as to what your point is. You talk about putting Europeans and Asians on an island to get Britain and Japan, but the truth is that the British and the Japanese were not "put" in those places... They were from there, unlike the Africans in Jamaica, Papau New Guinea, Haiti ect...
@eleutheromaniac Tasmania? wtf im in Tassie at the moment and i'm pretty sure there are no full Tasmanian aboriginals left. The last was Trugannini, who died over 100 years ago. There are not many Africans here, relatively, out of 500,000 people; the majority are white
@DeloraineRules the point is, what was the island like when it was inhabited solely by aborigines? actually, you could use the entire country of Austrialia as an example, now that you mention it.
Europeans and Asians don't "just happen" to have better technology and a more civilized society than Africans. The sole exception to the rule was Egypt, and recent DNA testing on King Tut has shown Egyptians were actually white.
Clearly, advanced civilization is the result of genetic expression
@eleutheromaniac Tasmanian Aboriginals were significantly different to mainland Aboriginals. Tasmanians were cut off when the rising sea levels covered over the land that joined them with the mainland.
Yes, White civilisation, as well as Asian, has always been at the cutting edge of technology, whether that is to do with superior genes, i don't know. Though, the Mayans were quite advanced for their time, they were more like the Red Indians in America, regarding ethnicity and skin colour
@Arielslopa the out-of-africa theory, although still pushed forward by the establishment, has been thoroughly debunked by more recent DNA research and archaeological evidence like the Calico digsite.
but even if you still believe in OOA, there is no denying that thousands of years of evolution in different environments has had a profound effect that can be clearly seen in DNA, not just skin colour (it's pretty absurd to think that skin colour would be the ONLY thing to evolve).
@eleutheromaniac Out of Africa wasn't debunked xP, the new discoveries claim that modern-humans share 4% of their DNA with neanderthals. Which means that our ancestors who came out of africa must have mixed with them at one point. We are still technically african, as our origin can be traced back to africa.
Its obvious that our skin color is not the only difference, some features caused by our adaption to the environment also changed, but overall we are still the same species.
@eleutheromaniac nevertheless, racism is quite foolish, since it suggest a superiority of a race, when in fact, superiority is debatable and misleading.
I dont think it was every about race, but is more about looks, we like to pick good looking people over ugly people, do you know what happens in a country where everyone is white or everyone is black or everyone is hispanic, etc, no matter where you go good looking people is the dominant race
the main idea is that family lines got rich of slavery, or poor from enslavement, ad their descendents today are still rich or poor based on their ancestors actions.
I am white, and all I heard through this entire thing was "WHITE PRIVILEGE WHITE PRIVILEGE WHITE PRIVILEGE WHITE PRIVILEGE WHITE PRIVILEGE."
Come on, guy, you and I are never going to experience the inherent racism in society. Check yourself! You do not experience discrimination based on your race. That's why the word "cracker" can be funny to you.
@jolluxz You do experience racism. White people can't dance, white people can't do anything athletic well, white people have acne, white people are nerds, white people are whiny overprivileged bitches (you're guilty of that one yourself) white people aren't good at anything except the management and oppression of other races, the whole "douchebag" concept, White Anglo-Saxon Protestant...
The list goes on. And I'm Asian, if that matters (it may detain people suffering from white guilt).
i start by saying fuck Bill Cosby.then i go to say that this was a good try at not trying to be racist but y do white people feel the need to tell black get over it.i mean yeah it was a long time ago that your people have slaves but i bet it wasnt that long ago that your grandparent didnt stand up for those black yellow or brown people.good try but it do make you sound racist wyotk guy.
@realtalk7790 I think the point is that this generation--HIS generation, is trying to move on. He's not being discriminatory to you and can't do anything about what his grandparents did back then. They we're racist, but the fact that he's trying not to is progress .. keep moving forward people. I'm a black girl and I really would like to stop thinking that the colour of my skin is such a big deal.
@tiggerinlove93 "can't do anything about what his grandparents did back then."
He can, and does, acknowledge the wrongdoing of his family. But complaining about other people's anger strikes me as immature.
It's easy to say "you've complained enough about racism and slavery" when your family wasn't a on the losing side of that history for hundreds of years, and without a living relative to tell you first-hand accounts.
Is he really in a position tell whole families to stop feeling that pain?
@iridescentsquids It may be easy to bear a grudge and say he is in no position to speak. But if we, as previously racially oppressed peoples (although white people bear their share of racism as well, not oppression, but the hate and shame of thousands of years of oppressive shit their ancestors did, mainly out of desire for economic stability) continue to bear our grudges, we are stopping the problem from being solved.
It may seem immature to you, but bearing a grudge may seem immature to him.
@ZomBLord "but bearing a grudge may seem immature to him."
err...yes I suppose. But I'm differentiating between holding a grudge and just being angry. I do think there can be a difference, although for many people there may not be difference in practice. This is why I think it's not an easy process...not as easy as just pointing out "reverse racism"
I think the missing step in this guy's effort at reconciliation is a more robust acknowledgement of past history and validation of the anger.
@someonetough87 well my point is i and thousands of others are having to see racism go on and on and on in schools, work, and other social/occupied places
We are all children of God, we are not white, hispanic, black, but we are all earthlinks, born on earth, we are all brothers and sisters and children of God.
I don't get the main message of this video. Reverse Racism IS Racism. Racism, in all its forms needs to be combatted. I am not going to sit here and pretend that some employers don't still hire on race, or that Arizona police aren't discriminating against Hispanic people, or that racism doesn't creep it's way into law and politics. It still exists in aspects which affect people's lives and thus needs to be fought. This Vid fails.
@SpearofDestiny0 How exactly do you not understand the main message of this video when you just got done laying it out in your comment? He clearly points out that racism is foolish no matter how you look at it. His "their people" comments are making fun of the ridiculous nature that we have to draw lines between ourselves, creating a "them against us" mentality. You're criticizing someone who agrees with you.
@MhsRunner2010 - actually no, I don't agree with him. He is saying the conversation of racism should end, and I am saying no it should not. I am also disagreeing with his tendency to label "reverse racism" as a form of "opposite" racism. Racism is racism no matter what. The label is unnecessary. Racism cannot be ignored like he is suggesting, because it still exists in areas it should not, such as employment. It is simply closeted, but that is not success against racism.
@SpearofDestiny0 He never suggested that we ignore it. If he wanted ignored, he never would have made the video. He is suggesting that we all move on, rather than rot in a mire of racism. Also, although you are correct with your "Racism is racism no matter what" comment, it is not a big deal. It certainly doesn't certify as a reason to oppose him. However, you are absolutely correct! We cannot afford to let racism eat away at our roots, and pretend it doesn't exist. Well said.
Think you're not prejudice...? check this video on youtube.. Scientific American Frontiers: The Hidden Prejudice. Go to the site and take the test you'll be amazed. How many people are racist sexist and the like. @rockon6191@mhsrunner2010@mysterymachinex@whatyououghttoknow even black people are racist against there own due to the conditioning and slavery of their people that lasted for centuries.
Fascinating video, thanks for referring me to it. I took the test as well, and it was quite eye-opening. One of the researchers in the video, Dr. Brian Nosek, mentioned something that I liked: "my conscious beliefs still matter...I will admit to having those implicit biases, but I will not let that rule what I would consciously want to have." btw my result was slight automatic preference for black people over white. ..... yeah, I'm as surprised as you are.
@whatyououghttoknow what is reverse racism?... this is a question from a black person who was spat at and call a wog simply for wanting to cross a road. Now.. was I spat at for wanting to cross the road or for being black? And I didnt react to this person... if I had would that have been reverse racism? If I had been white would I have been spat at and called a wog? I didnt react but it still hurts. Why?
@odieshaPI That's just racism. Reverse racism is basically someone being racist to the dominant group in a region. An example of reverse racism would be a nonwhite person in America claiming that all of the whites are to blame for his or her race's sufferring. In actuality, the people today have nothing to do with what our ancestors did, and to say that is actually stereotyping the whites, and being racist in itself. I'm not going to blame anyone for the annihilation of the Neanderthals.
@MysteryMachineX it seems like what your saying is that people who are still feeling the affects of racism should not retaliate. There it may not be lynchings and people sitting at the back of the bus but its aftershocks and ripples have not yet subsided in the wider society and the classes. Also the issue of slavery/racism has little to do with what a person earns. if a person is rich it doesnt mean that they have not been affected by the slavery/racism. Why would you care about Neanders homo?
@odieshaPI Acknowledging that racism exists and that people suffer for it, retaliating to racism with more racism is completely counter-productive. People who actively engage in racist acts and foster racist attitudes need to be stopped, but condemning the race of those people does absolutely no good.
Retaliation may be necessary in some cases. However, it should be aimed at the person responsible for the crime, not the people who look like him/her.
@MhsRunner2010 Why? what harm does reverse racism do.? Its like its saying,Yeah my forefathers were racist, but I aint so get over it. even though the effects of the old racism is still being felt.Get a black person to call a white man a honkey like in video, see what harm it does. None. call a black man a nigger & see the anger blaze .and thats the difference. The problem comes when you call a white man racist. thats what they call reverse racism? Real R,racism= Robert Magabe.
@odieshaPI The issue is who you should retaliate against, and how. 'A white person was racist towards me, therefore I should retaliate towards all white people by being racist towards them' is not rational or productive. A white person was racist towards me, therefore I will combat the ignorance of this individual- that's more productive. We are all individuals- problems arise whenever you collect a demographic for what an individual has done.
@MhsRunner2010 - I am sure hundreds of Black citizens would agree with your last sentence. I don't think you need to lecture any Black person on that part. Good job though :\
I agree with everything he said and I think we should let go, but as a black women when going to an interview in a position I am highly qualified for it is hard for me to push away the thought that my interviewer might have been raised in a home that was not tolerant of people of minorities and that is the simple truth. From my experience I have been racially discriminated against in the work place. I do not agree with racism of any kind not even "reverse racism".
@94Cioppa yes they do. as long as the police are more likely to see blacks as criminals then of course we should see figures like those you have posted and it would be the same in reverse. so the numbers do lie by not telling the whole story. so consider this, there are more innocent blacks in prison than white, from 1973-2010 there were 71 blacks: 52 whites released from death row. the numbers don't lie.
if a black person calls another black person a nigger they are just dumb cause nigger means black slave not black people get confused diffrenciating it.

I find there to be different definitions to the words racism, and bigotry.
People who, without reason hate some one for the racial stock or traits is a bigot.
Those that can define some reason, (remember people, it's opinions in the end) to execute hatred or how I prefer it, "racial imperative".

StacksNyc80 1 month ago in playlist More videos from WhatYouOughtToKnow
@StacksNyc80 One thing you should understand before jumping to the conclusion that since a country (don't pin that on the US when racism and slavery still exist today) it is important to know the history of slavery & its origins. Slavery never began in the US & the idea itself sprung from a "conqueror and conquered" mentality that is established in over 90% of civilizations in history. Also in terms of time,America has the least amount of time historically in owning and using slaves.
GodMn6 1 month ago
@GodMn6 Well you seem to be an intelligent person, so I must assume that you don't for one moment imagine that because slavery in the usa ended "legally" 147yrs ago, that it truly ended that day. That's really besides the point though because what I was trying to convey was that even if we all forgot there was ever a such thing as slavery or racism, there would still be certain groups of people in certain positions because of what actually happened in the past, and leaving any racism aside,
StacksNyc80 1 month ago
@GodMn6 those people would form groups/units/teams/govt's and of course would look out for each other (nepotism), and there is nothing intrinsically wrong with that, except it means that all sorts of opportunities are not as easily accessible to certain other groups of people. Forgetting about "it" certainly doesn't help deal with the disequilibrium, but I don't have the answers, I'm just a high school drop out from nyc.....Peace
StacksNyc80 1 month ago
@StacksNyc80 Well I won't judge you or your words based on where you went educationally. That would be foolish, I would draw your attention though to the seemingly endless road that nepotism is. If we as a people continue to trudge through seemingly endless days always thinking of past actions and drawing relevance from them we are never going to advance let alone mature as a country. Personally this does sound good on paper but it can also be done in real life.
GodMn6 1 month ago
@GodMn6 Well we agree, racism is stupid, let's love each other. I don't believe you and I are in disagreement about that. I'm a mixed race individual myself & my 3 closest friends are black, white, & indian, so believe me, it's all love! This video was about more than that though, & I didn't like it lol....on another note I've sold everything I own, quit my job & in May I'm leaving nyc to drive through the usa down to central & south america
StacksNyc80 1 month ago
@StacksNyc80 Forgetting isn't an action that should be taken, however learning from it is much more active and efficient. Think about all the hate that exists today all based on the founding principles that people don't want to forget their "pain." Yes there is pain, there was pain, and I am 100% sure there will be future pain. But does this give us the right to continue to live with it? I wouldn't want to. For those of us who have experienced pain its not fun or enjoyable so why harbor it?
GodMn6 1 month ago
@StacksNyc80 Our system isn't perfect not by a long shot, but when each of us take time out of our busy day and do something about the issues at hand, most of the issues would disappear. Racism is a monster that can be destroyed by simply someone dropping the stones, the swords, the hurtful words, the biased teachings, the unfair doctrines. Things can and will get better provided everyone desires it to get better. With no desire to let those feelings go nothing will change.
GodMn6 1 month ago
@StacksNyc80 But your comment, I hope, isn't targeting slavery. My only point of clarification I want to ask is, "Why do you believe it is so important to continue to harbor enough resentment for this issue to keep it alive? Slavery ended almost 50+ years ago. In fact the specific date was January 31, 1865. That's 147 years ago. So unless you are 148 or older this issue isn't even a recent event. But I am not here to attack you idea just desire you know the facts more before posting stuff.

Racism, tribalism and all the other -isms is something we will forever deal with. A friend once said even if God was to come down and make us all one race, one religion one language, we still will look for something to differentiate and segregate. We could go as extreme as blonds vs black hair vs brown hair, or tall people vs short people. We always find something to fight over, i think this flimsy way of thinking is something we generally have to live with
Bashirjafiya 1 month ago
Witty, charming and most importantly: simply true...
This is why I still like this channel eventhough they defended ID. It's as simple as that, treat others with respect and you can demand to be treated the same way, even if you don't share opinions... And yes, it is hard to give respect when it's not given to you but denying others the right that is taken from you... now that's not irony, it's plain stupid.
kindAhumaNbeinG 2 months ago
@kindAhumaNbeinG There's a difference between respecting people and respecting their opinions or ideas. A distinction many people fail to make or recognize but an important one I think. For example I would show someone who believes in creationism as much respect as I would anyone else but I would not respect or show any respect for their belief in creationism.
DSBrekus 1 month ago
@DSBrekus That's what I was trying to say. But to be honest, sometimes I still have to realise that I can not always live up to my own expectations. Especially when someone is very persistently trying to force believes which I cannot respect on me, I find it hard to be able to differenciate. I guess it is a natural reaction to something one sees as threat and our brain does prioritise those reactions over moral behaviour (for obvious reasons).
As I said, it's a matter of being a decent
kindAhumaNbeinG 1 month ago
@DSBrekus ...human being to respect others as long as they do no harm. But being able to always be respectful, even if you feel threatend by someone (for example people trying to underminde education), is something we have to learn, sometimes the hard way. I for sure do still have a lot of learning ahead of me but I guess, but I do think that this is the only way to make a difference. When we are not willing to give respect, we might never have a chance to speak up for what is right...
kindAhumaNbeinG 1 month ago
@kindAhumaNbeinG Agreed, it is very hard sometimes to take the high road. Takes a lot of practice to calm down and separate those immediate emotional reactions from a real rational response. That being said you can still show anger and other emotion but you have to focus it towards the topic of discussion, not the other person. Sometimes its a fine line to tread especially when a lot of people are prepared to be grievously offended at the slightest disagreement, but you can't control that.
DSBrekus 1 month ago
@DSBrekus True. I see, you seem to be a very clever and mature person, something that is quite rare.
But because people tend to get offended even when the discussion is focused on the topic, I tend to back off way to easily. I just not always see the need to "waste" my energy on people who obviously do not want or are not able to give it a go and think about it rationally. Sometimes I feel that this sort of resignation or indifference makes me act...
kindAhumaNbeinG 1 month ago
@DSBrekus...disrespectful towards others, since it somewhat is like saying "I don't believe that you are able to accept reason", which is quite rude if you think about it. But well, the trick would be to try and change the things we can, to accept those we cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference (at least one wise thing we should have learnt from religious texts). ^^
kindAhumaNbeinG 1 month ago
@kindAhumaNbeinG Perhaps, it is difficult with people like that but I still see the value in challenging their ideas firmly. Even though there is no chance that they will change their mind then and there they will likely think about it later "hmm that person seemed really sure maybe I should look into this" something along those lines and that can hopefully lead them to the truth. I know its frustrating and slow but it's a long uphill battle we face, and it's worth facing IMHO.

No one says Africa needs more "Diversity"
No one says Asia needs more "Diversity"
Because those area's are already 100% "Diversified"
"Diversity" is just a codeword for "Too many white people"
It is NOT Diversity, it is simply WHITE GENOCIDE
WhiteWeasel420 2 months ago
individually, i think we're all the same, with the same fears, desires, etc. but collectively is where you see genetics and culture take effect.
Put asians on an island, you get Japan.
Put europeans on an island, you get Britain.
Put africans on an island you get.....haiti/domincan republic....jamaica...tasmania....papau new guinea....or just look at the continent of africa itself. at what point do you stop calling that a coincidence? and at what point do you stop blaming whitey?
eleutheromaniac 2 months ago 7
@eleutheromaniac That is ridiculous. To address Haiti and the Dominican Republic, white people put black people there, which is a place with almost no clean water and too many people for the few resources that are there. also those just examples of how resources are unequally distributed. of course there are wars in Africa over where each tribe is supposed to be, because each tribe wants to be around the best resources. Although I agree that everyone needs to try harder.
CartonOfLife 2 months ago
@eleutheromaniac Don't be ridiculous. Anyone can pull examples out of their ass supporting anything they want to argue for. Real evidence shows no real difference, its culturally enforced prejudices that mold people into stereotypes. Kind of like the BS you just said.
DSBrekus 1 month ago
@DSBrekus yeah, but see the thing is i didn't pull those examples out of my ass; i pulled them from a map & pop. statistics.
if u want to refute what i say, it's a fairly simple thing to do: point to a region on the map where africans are the majority, that isn't either A) still stuck in the stoneage, like Papau New Guinea, or B) in a state of poverty and desolation like Compton, Harlem, or basically the entire continent of Africa itself.
or u can just keep singing 'we are the world'
eleutheromaniac 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac I'm not trying to refute what you said I'm pointing out the stupidity of the argument you used to support it and the fact that such stereotyping is a self fulfilling prophecy.
When I said pulling examples out of your ass I didn't mean you made them up I meant that you picked examples that fit the point you wanted and generalized from those specifics, a fallacious argument that anyone can use to support any point.
DSBrekus 1 month ago
@DSBrekus pure nonsense. 'self-fulfilling prophecy' is unsubstantiated psycho-babble. but even if it weren't, how exactly did our stereotypes keep the tribes of Papa New Guinea or countless other isolated African tribes from advancing even as far as the Bronze Age?
ironically you'd make a good nazi: ur essentially saying that the white man is so powerful that our simply believing something to be true about another race makes it so. even goebbels would have a hard time selling that propaganda.
eleutheromaniac 1 month ago
@DSBrekus and if my argument were so 'fallacious' there would be countless examples to refute it. as it is you didn't even try to find a single one because you know no such example exists.
eleutheromaniac 1 month ago
I will clear up a couple things.
I'm not going to be replying any further.
also, Godwin's law.
DSBrekus 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac I'm just a little confused as to what your point is. You talk about putting Europeans and Asians on an island to get Britain and Japan, but the truth is that the British and the Japanese were not "put" in those places... They were from there, unlike the Africans in Jamaica, Papau New Guinea, Haiti ect...
nolaparis 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac Tasmania? wtf im in Tassie at the moment and i'm pretty sure there are no full Tasmanian aboriginals left. The last was Trugannini, who died over 100 years ago. There are not many Africans here, relatively, out of 500,000 people; the majority are white
DeloraineRules 1 month ago
@DeloraineRules the point is, what was the island like when it was inhabited solely by aborigines? actually, you could use the entire country of Austrialia as an example, now that you mention it.
Europeans and Asians don't "just happen" to have better technology and a more civilized society than Africans. The sole exception to the rule was Egypt, and recent DNA testing on King Tut has shown Egyptians were actually white.
Clearly, advanced civilization is the result of genetic expression
eleutheromaniac 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac Tasmanian Aboriginals were significantly different to mainland Aboriginals. Tasmanians were cut off when the rising sea levels covered over the land that joined them with the mainland.
Yes, White civilisation, as well as Asian, has always been at the cutting edge of technology, whether that is to do with superior genes, i don't know. Though, the Mayans were quite advanced for their time, they were more like the Red Indians in America, regarding ethnicity and skin colour
DeloraineRules 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac well when you really think about it... we are all "africans", some of us just look different. :D
Arielslopa 1 month ago
@Arielslopa the out-of-africa theory, although still pushed forward by the establishment, has been thoroughly debunked by more recent DNA research and archaeological evidence like the Calico digsite.
but even if you still believe in OOA, there is no denying that thousands of years of evolution in different environments has had a profound effect that can be clearly seen in DNA, not just skin colour (it's pretty absurd to think that skin colour would be the ONLY thing to evolve).
eleutheromaniac 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac Out of Africa wasn't debunked xP, the new discoveries claim that modern-humans share 4% of their DNA with neanderthals. Which means that our ancestors who came out of africa must have mixed with them at one point. We are still technically african, as our origin can be traced back to africa.
Its obvious that our skin color is not the only difference, some features caused by our adaption to the environment also changed, but overall we are still the same species.
Arielslopa 1 month ago
@eleutheromaniac nevertheless, racism is quite foolish, since it suggest a superiority of a race, when in fact, superiority is debatable and misleading.

Is he really in a position tell whole families to stop feeling that pain?
iridescentsquids 3 months ago
@iridescentsquids It may be easy to bear a grudge and say he is in no position to speak. But if we, as previously racially oppressed peoples (although white people bear their share of racism as well, not oppression, but the hate and shame of thousands of years of oppressive shit their ancestors did, mainly out of desire for economic stability) continue to bear our grudges, we are stopping the problem from being solved.
It may seem immature to you, but bearing a grudge may seem immature to him.
ZomBLord 3 months ago
@ZomBLord "but bearing a grudge may seem immature to him."
err...yes I suppose. But I'm differentiating between holding a grudge and just being angry. I do think there can be a difference, although for many people there may not be difference in practice. This is why I think it's not an easy process...not as easy as just pointing out "reverse racism"
I think the missing step in this guy's effort at reconciliation is a more robust acknowledgement of past history and validation of the anger.
iridescentsquids 3 months ago
@ZomBLord (continued)
but I see your point. He's not ignoring the past in any way, he's just not going out of his way to acknowledge it either.
If he's trying to say "the past is the past....let it go and move on" I think that's ineffective and immature.
If he's say "your past, or your families past, can never justify racism in the present", well, that's something I can agree with.
I'm not sure what he's saying, exactly. Sounds like little of both.

SpearofDestiny0 4 months ago
@SpearofDestiny0 How exactly do you not understand the main message of this video when you just got done laying it out in your comment? He clearly points out that racism is foolish no matter how you look at it. His "their people" comments are making fun of the ridiculous nature that we have to draw lines between ourselves, creating a "them against us" mentality. You're criticizing someone who agrees with you.
MhsRunner2010 4 months ago
@MhsRunner2010 - actually no, I don't agree with him. He is saying the conversation of racism should end, and I am saying no it should not. I am also disagreeing with his tendency to label "reverse racism" as a form of "opposite" racism. Racism is racism no matter what. The label is unnecessary. Racism cannot be ignored like he is suggesting, because it still exists in areas it should not, such as employment. It is simply closeted, but that is not success against racism.
SpearofDestiny0 4 months ago
@SpearofDestiny0 He never suggested that we ignore it. If he wanted ignored, he never would have made the video. He is suggesting that we all move on, rather than rot in a mire of racism. Also, although you are correct with your "Racism is racism no matter what" comment, it is not a big deal. It certainly doesn't certify as a reason to oppose him. However, you are absolutely correct! We cannot afford to let racism eat away at our roots, and pretend it doesn't exist. Well said.

@whatyououghttoknow what is reverse racism?... this is a question from a black person who was spat at and call a wog simply for wanting to cross a road. If I had been white would I have been spat at and called a wog? I didnt react but it still hurts. Why?
odieshaPI 4 months ago
@odieshaPI That's just racism. Reverse racism is basically someone being racist to the dominant group in a region. An example of reverse racism would be a nonwhite person in America claiming that all of the whites are to blame for his or her race's sufferring. In actuality, the people today have nothing to do with what our ancestors did, and to say that is actually stereotyping the whites, and being racist in itself. I'm not going to blame anyone for the annihilation of the Neanderthals.
MysteryMachineX 4 months ago
@MysteryMachineX it seems like what your saying is that people who are still feeling the affects of racism should not retaliate. There it may not be lynchings and people sitting at the back of the bus but its aftershocks and ripples have not yet subsided in the wider society and the classes. Also the issue of slavery/racism has little to do with what a person earns. if a person is rich it doesnt mean that they have not been affected by the slavery/racism. Why would you care about Neanders homo?
odieshaPI 4 months ago
@odieshaPI Acknowledging that racism exists and that people suffer for it, retaliating to racism with more racism is completely counter-productive. People who actively engage in racist acts and foster racist attitudes need to be stopped, but condemning the race of those people does absolutely no good.
Retaliation may be necessary in some cases. However, it should be aimed at the person responsible for the crime, not the people who look like him/her.
MhsRunner2010 4 months ago
@MhsRunner2010 Why? what harm does reverse racism do.? Its like its saying,Yeah my forefathers were racist, but I aint so get over it. even though the effects of the old racism is still being felt.Get a black person to call a white man a honkey like in video, see what harm it does. None. call a black man a nigger & see the anger blaze .and thats the difference. The problem comes when you call a white man racist. thats what they call reverse racism? Real R,racism= Robert Magabe.
odieshaPI 4 months ago
@odieshaPI The issue is who you should retaliate against, and how. 'A white person was racist towards me, therefore I should retaliate towards all white people by being racist towards them' is not rational or productive. A white person was racist towards me, therefore I will combat the ignorance of this individual- that's more productive. We are all individuals- problems arise whenever you collect a demographic for what an individual has done.

The Numbers dont lie
94Cioppa 4 months ago
@94Cioppa yes they do. as long as the police are more likely to see blacks as criminals then of course we should see figures like those you have posted and it would be the same in reverse. so the numbers do lie by not telling the whole story. so consider this, there are more innocent blacks in prison than white, from 1973-2010 there were 71 blacks: 52 whites released from death row. the numbers don't lie.
