So does Linux. Thousands of companies use Linux on their systems.... espically webhosts. There are far more versions of Linux than there are versions of Windows. Some companies save money by using the free Linux and can spend the extra money on their employees. Linux is good for people in countries where people cannot afford the high licensing costs of Windows.

You obviously have no knowledge of how the open source model works. It *does* create jobs for programmers, and all over the world. For example, when Google wanted to have Picasa work on Linux, it paid for its programmers to improve Wine, so that it could be used as a framework to make Picasa work in Linux.

I love both Apple and Linux, I have a Linux Laptop and a Mac OS X G5 computer as a "home base" for my works. i used to have windows but i got so sick of the blue screen of death, so i made it to where the last thing that computer ever saw was a sledgehammer ^^.
