Now & Then, Here & There is a true gem! Its such a great anime, and you feel for all the characters....Except Hamdo...THAT EVIL ASS DICTATOR>:I I mean Sara went through hell, Nabuca munipulated into thinking he'd be able to go back to his village once the war was over...That was just some messed up stuff. Shu is a very courageous kid to go up agaisnt an entire country + save Lalaru. I'm glad it has a happy ending...to an extent.

Hard to believe that when this show first aired in the U.S. it was preceded by the light-hearted Gurren Lagann. Bad editorial choices, or was there a deeper meaning behind it.

This is an awesomely made AMV. The combination of the footage, editing and music puts up a perfect mood that makes for a great reflection of the whole of the series.

This anime is the only one I have ever bought in a collectors box, directly, and I do not regrett it.

I have to say...this anime brought you to such emotional extremes, it fucks you up emotionally, but in a way that benefits you as a person, that does credit to you as a human being (in my opinion only, of course). I wanted to swallow a bullet by the end of it but watching it was very worth it -it was a katharsis, almost. Thanks for posting, it's really appreciated.

I highly recommend for all interested in animé to check it out. The series is focused on the consequences of war and how it affects people. A raving mad dictator is hellbent to make a girl with the power to manipulate water out of thin air help him to rise his kingdom up again. This is a series that stays with you long after one has seen it and one will probably remember it with bittersweet memories. Oh, and the intro and outro songs rules.

Yeah, it starts off looking like a sports anime about a happy go lucky kid playing kendo, but then, wow. More people need to see that this is how good anime can be, forget shonen anime.
