@IMtheONEwhoLEFT No it isn't. Look at the markings on the floor dude; its a Basketball court. Apparently many Kendo tournaments are held in Basketball courts for lack of space in Japan. Kinda sad since Kendo is so representative of Japanese culture.
@GreatestEnemy32 those markings are for the boundrys. trust me isnts not a basket ball court! ive played their before! and your comments on japan 'lack of space' is somewhat hurtfull
@GreatestEnemy32 It's the best the sport has there are no stadiums made just for kendo. The basketball stadium was chosen because the hardwood floor is very similar, if not the same, to the ones they have in kendo dojos. Even small tournaments are held in basketball courts at a highschool or college since they need the space.
@412356 It sucks though since Kendo is such a traditional part of Japanese culture and sportsmanship. You would think they could make a Kendo stadium for the world championship at least. Oh well...
Everybody was kendo fighting...that strike was fast as lightening o_o
Seriously, I had to watch that part like three times till I understood what happened. I don't think the guy in black realized it either until everyone started clapping...

Kumdo's been around for long time and I learned Japan first made this art of sword into sport but come on, every Asian countries have its own sword martial art, especially far eastern nations. and I could send you countless videos where Japanese crowds going crazy during and after kendo competition. so please don't say Koreans are mis-mannered. oh, I live in America and have many great Japanese friends who I learned Kendo with, and they always push me around. just please don't insult the sport.
Yeah that's a thing about Korea & Japan. Their cultures seem to differ a lot. In fact for the most part they hate him more than anyone else. My family wasnt jewish or anything and were still forced out of their homes by him...
Badass match! And wtf? K's vs J's in here? Koreans where the OG's of northern asia contents. But the japanese came out with cooler shit...but koreans are way way fuckin tougher. 5/5
nice video. the migi-do was amazing, i didnt even see it until i replayed it. the beginning kote was really fast too. -.- i wish i culd get to that level soon
This is a kendo/kumdo video guys, if you wants to have arguments about history and things of that nature, go ahead, but do so in a designated place. Dont comment on kendo/kumdo of videos unless you have something to say about kendo/kumdo. Sorry, but its quite bothersome when i want to hear what people thought of the clip and i scroll down to see nothing but a big cyber fight.
in full name,,,shilra of korea, bekjeh of korea and gogurier of korea fought over many centuries, during this time...the emperor of one of these nations seperated and started the country of japan...after this occurred the seperated nations of korea formed to make a whole country named dehanminguk which is, republic of korea...then not so long ago the korean war split the once united country into two different countries which are known today
A Japanese sword is a unique sword developed in Japan in the Heian era. As for the Japanese sword, the how to use was developed for periods from the Kamakura era to the age of civil strife. It is kenjyutsu. kenjyustu developed to fit a Japanese unique weapon and protective gear. kenjyutsu took in a bamboo sword and an exercise method by a protective gear in the Edo era. kenjyutsu became unified kendo after the Meiji Restoration. Is it a mistake that I say?
time for you to SHUT THE FUCK UP.... if YOU shut the fuck up then everyone else will... Why? cuse u keep arguing about the same shit over and over again i dont give a shit about 5000 years ago... everyone steals someone else's idea at some point.. and guess what? only GOD knows...

i HATE jokabalees. May you burn in hell for the war crimes you've committed and the countless women you've raped and children you've murdered. Also, the "Sea of Japan" is not yours!!! Its KOREAN waters you jokbalee motherfuckers! History will teach of the evil commited by Japanese snakes.
oh yeh.remains, before something? u cant have remains before something occurred u idiotic fuktard.u are right, japanese culture inherited the chinese culture via korean culture wherethe korean culture was a whole culture itself,a renewed china which i stated before using weapons of steel and wood as an example.with this new culture which is probably explained in every book written by a non-western originated person about korean history, korea became shilra, bekjeh and gogurier..
first of all "do not you know it?" are u like mentally retarded or something? and second of all, if u didnt notice, the korean historical ages dated 5000 years ago were set during korean historical times...i never said korea started exactly 5000 years ago...i meant that the korean history of when the country consisted of lands apart of china was dated 5000 years ago
wtf, im not bragging about how good korea is u dumbshit....im saying that korea never took the cultures of japan...u idiotic faggot...stop trying to change the subject to make urself seem smart cuz ur not u worthless piece of shit...go read wut u started this stupid arguement for in the first place and then comment u blind fuk
As for it, Chinese culture came to Japan via Korea.
Is it the history of Korean 5000? Such a thing believes only a Korean. Where are remains of civilization before 5000 years? There is the thing that the poor remains which a Korean insists on are similar all over the world.
The Japanese students who went to China to study in the seventh century brought the basics of current Japanese culture.
And a Japanese develops the later Japanese original culture. A Chinese recognizes this, too. Only a Korean is proud of Korea which was Japan and one of the Chinese ways.
In the days of Chinese Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty. Japan sent a lot of foreign students to direct China.
one more thing u brainless pile of shit. If u ever did research of korean culture,u would find that it consists of more than just "kimchi", and that it consists of more that 5000 years of history. u said that koreans and japanese would have been decendants of indians by dokebis theory? r u fuked in the head or something? cant u read? he said mongols...in other words mongolians! koreans decended from the ancient mongolian race and so did japan not indians u stubborn fuk
hahaha i agree wit urmumandy and dokebi,,,marc is the most stupid person i have ever heard...im not korean or anything but it is true that japanese cultures and korean cultures are very similar but that is because the japanese culture originated from korea...like dokebi said the royal family of japan are decendants of royal emperors of korea. and like urmumandy said, japan was after koreas birth...marc is just plain stupid and thick in the head
another thing to add to "ur" history of japan...is that japans existence wasnt even know until after koreas time...and did u know? that japans great emperor's first ancestors were korean? and did u also know that the kimono was a form of clothing that originated from the ancient form of korean clothing? if u still want to blabber on about iron sword and bronze stick...then go ahead but just know this, korea and its cultures never...ever...ever..took any part of japans ancient cultures :P
in ur tiny little dream world where japan was this whole great country pile of Bull...Shit. during the colonisation in korea by japan, many koreans were forced and tortured into teaching japanese children and adults their cultures and learnings that had been passed on by other koreans before their time and guess wat,no japanese were sent to teach koreans do u know y? only an idiot wouldnt know y
china the creator of iron and shit? yeh maybe, but the reason y half of chinas land in ancient times was part of ancient korea was because korea strengthened the sword and shield or overcome that of chinas, defeating china wit something that they themselves created..
marz u are the dumbest bullshit talking mother fuker i have ever seen...korean culture is something that consists of history that existed from more than 5000 years ago, so dont make up bullshit about korea taking up japans cultures? eat a dik, japan was after korea's time u fukin dumbshit. korea consisted of many different countries that made up one country from ancient times, countries that spread out into the lands of china itself
You guys are absolutely ridiculous. I came here to watch a good kendo match, but you guys are talking about political bullshit which has nothing to do with sports. dumb retards...
no kendo is japanese, but teacremony is korean, and the class of samuri is based on the korean class "sam wun a bi" which was a marcinary type people. and yes japanese royal family has links to korean decendents. before the meji restoration, japan's main source of influence was from korea
wow. you really dont know basics of japanese history. the sa wun abi theory is loosely based, sure. but still cant prove it false or ture. but the japanese royal family is definantly korean decendant. at one point in japanese history, 1/3 of the nobels was korean. korean philoshpers, teachers, artists was kidnapped due to popularity of korean influence before the meji restoration. you really think the tea cermony is uniquely japanese?
Ha-ha. You are a funny Korean. Perhaps you will have strong patriotism for Korea.
A lot of different races came over in Japan in ancient times. Their hometown is not only the Korean Peninsura but also Mainland China, Siberia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia.
Their mixed blood is a Japanese. The Emperor had the mistress whom a long time ago was taken out from a peninsula by a hostage. Korean education is sneered at in Japan. Are you deceived by the Korea government?
your really stupid. take a look at diffrent aspects of japanese culture, and tell me if it resembles korean culture. even the language for example, sounds alot alike, but doesnt sound chinese or south east asian. i am aware japanese people are mixed(many experts would say the orgins of the languages korean, japanese is from mongols). some examples of korean influence: japanese buddism is more like korean buddism than any other type
By the way, as for the etymology of a samurai, it is settled by Japanese ancient documents.
Does the Korea government work on rejection of a Japanese language? After all Korea is the nation which is nonsense same as North Korea. Escape early.
look at koreajapanese artchitecutre, the curved roofs expose the insides of the roofs unlike chinese buildings which roofs resembles a hat. i know japanese is mixed, dummy but japanese like to lie to themselves the only real japanese are ainus. japanese language is rejected? koreans were forced to speak japanese during the colonial era. koreans didnt just choose to learn
were you really educated in japan? either you werent or japan schools need to get better! wow, thats really sad. korea did get influnced during colonization era. but before the meji restoration (westerinzation of japan after the last shogun steped down) japan's primary source of influence and trade was korea. in most of ancient history korea was more advance than japan which resemebled a typical south east island nation, but china was more advance than korea.oh and i didnt go to korean school
If an inventor of iron is the origin of kendo, it is a Hittite.
There was the sword from Bronze Age.
Perhaps an inventor of bronze understands it nobody. Why is Korea the origin of kendo? It is China that introduced a sword and iron into Korea. Then it is China in the origin of kendo. However, the Hittite had iron from China on old days. It is a Hittite in the origin of kendo.
Is the origin of kendo a Hittite when I use your logic? Korea is a way station.
It is you that do not respect culture of somebody.
Why did China and Japan have to conceal Korean culture?
The time when Japan did here. Evidence is left to both a textbook written in the Korean Hangul Alphabet and a newspaper. There was a Korean Diet member, too.
There was a Korean lieutenant general, too. They used a Korean name.
Did the Korean leave all in 35 years?
It is the Korea government that concealed. They operated the history to arrange legitimacy of the Korean government.
look, believe what you want. i have many japanese friends that said the same thing as me. so i really dont care if japan has close links with koreans, it doesnt make a diffrence in my life, maybe yours. i know what i read, and im not going to throw away what i learned just becuase one idiot on the internet, so stop geting mad and just let it be
Grounds that Korea is the origin of kendo are not discovered by my investigation.
Association of Japanese kendo denies a Korean tyrannical claim overall. It is only a good-natured person believing a Korean and a Korean for a blind belief that support your claim.
F7997 this is the world kendo championship..., but it can be mistaken because of all the cheering but this is the finals OBVIOUSLY everyone is getting excited korea woulda raped japan this year in the wkc but usa raped them first... if korea>usa and usa>japan then korea>japan
yes namaemake88 we koreans are very barbaric. we run around seoul with our underwear on and in sunglasses with condom shops everywhere just like "Hard Gay" OOOKKKAYYY, plus to me u australians dont kno crap about kendo so pls go and screw a kangaroo or something k thx bye, one more info. japs have true samurai blood.
i don't see why a japanese guy in a tae kwon do competition should do any worse than a korean in a tae kwon do or a greek or an american or any other nationality for that matter. It is a test of skills not a nationality or genes built over the centuries even.
ObakaSan wa hontoni obaka-san desune =p. Korea's the dude wearing all white. He didn't score a single point. The Japanese guy scored a kote hit and a hiki-do (amazing point).
if the red flag goes up does it mean that the red dude won or does it mean the red dude got hit? becuz the last shot the white guy hit him clearly in the head and the red flag went up.
Yeah, it's a debana kote and a hiki-do. Bloody good hit as well for the hiki-do, they are rarely every scored. Cheering may be good, but it can be distracting for the kendoka, so all our club every does is yell out the occasional 'fighto!'
...seems Korean supporters don't know the word "manner".
It's really sucks they're yelling around during the match.
Or maybe.. since kendo is Japanese martial art it can't be helped that those anti-Japanese people don't know the manner. I am not Japanese (am Australian), but I LOVE Japan and people over there. I reckon you better learn their modesty a bit. be kind. ;)
kudos to the japanese kenshi, amazing do...
but what an awful ippon by the korean... I mean, what was that? -.-' How could the shimpan just score that?

I say Koreans are strong, but they are too rough. Oh, right they do dupulicated kendo called kumdo.
You should not push an opponent out of the field.
That's only highschool kids do and that proves you are not good enough to get a point thus you push opponent out to gain a penalty point.
Also, audiance MUST keep quiet in the match. NEVER EVER YIELL OUT. even they won the match, the audiance must keep quiet.
That's the manner and that's the rule.
So ashameful.

Thank You

in full name,,,shilra of korea, bekjeh of korea and gogurier of korea fought over many centuries, during this time...the emperor of one of these nations seperated and started the country of japan...after this occurred the seperated nations of korea formed to make a whole country named dehanminguk which is, republic of korea...then not so long ago the korean war split the once united country into two different countries which are known today

What do you talk about?
I talk about approval of fencing.
And it is the superstition that only a Korean believes that bekjeh conquered Japan.
Both a Chinese and a Japanese know that it is completely opposite.

oh yeh.remains, before something? u cant have remains before something occurred u idiotic fuktard.u are right, japanese culture inherited the chinese culture via korean culture wherethe korean culture was a whole culture itself,a renewed china which i stated before using weapons of steel and wood as an example.with this new culture which is probably explained in every book written by a non-western originated person about korean history, korea became shilra, bekjeh and gogurier..

Thus? What is Korean original culture?
As for it, Chinese culture came to Japan via Korea.
Is it the history of Korean 5000? Such a thing believes only a Korean. Where are remains of civilization before 5000 years? There is the thing that the poor remains which a Korean insists on are similar all over the world.

poor Korean.
There is the document about the Korean culture all over the world.
The description about Korea by the Japanese & China & West almost accords.
It is Korean own to have made culture contempt.
The Korean demands all responsibility from Japan.
marz12aug 4 years ago
The Japanese students who went to China to study in the seventh century brought the basics of current Japanese culture.
And a Japanese develops the later Japanese original culture. A Chinese recognizes this, too. Only a Korean is proud of Korea which was Japan and one of the Chinese ways.
In the days of Chinese Sui dynasty and Tang dynasty. Japan sent a lot of foreign students to direct China.
Do not you know it?
marz12aug 4 years ago
The self-styled stupid people who "are not a Korean."
You prove it after all. "A Korean is a fanatic falling for a delusion".
If your claim is right, historians in the world are surprised. Go to write a description of wikipedia again.
All non-Koreans who watched this will despise Korea because of you.

one more thing u brainless pile of shit. If u ever did research of korean culture,u would find that it consists of more than just "kimchi", and that it consists of more that 5000 years of history. u said that koreans and japanese would have been decendants of indians by dokebis theory? r u fuked in the head or something? cant u read? he said mongols...in other words mongolians! koreans decended from the ancient mongolian race and so did japan not indians u stubborn fuk

hahaha i agree wit urmumandy and dokebi,,,marc is the most stupid person i have ever heard...im not korean or anything but it is true that japanese cultures and korean cultures are very similar but that is because the japanese culture originated from korea...like dokebi said the royal family of japan are decendants of royal emperors of korea. and like urmumandy said, japan was after koreas birth...marc is just plain stupid and thick in the head
getdistractedDOTcom 4 years ago
another thing to add to "ur" history of japan...is that japans existence wasnt even know until after koreas time...and did u know? that japans great emperor's first ancestors were korean? and did u also know that the kimono was a form of clothing that originated from the ancient form of korean clothing? if u still want to blabber on about iron sword and bronze stick...then go ahead but just know this, korea and its cultures never...ever...ever..took any part of japans ancient cultures :P
urmumandy 4 years ago
in ur tiny little dream world where japan was this whole great country pile of Bull...Shit. during the colonisation in korea by japan, many koreans were forced and tortured into teaching japanese children and adults their cultures and learnings that had been passed on by other koreans before their time and guess wat,no japanese were sent to teach koreans do u know y? only an idiot wouldnt know y
urmumandy 4 years ago
china the creator of iron and shit? yeh maybe, but the reason y half of chinas land in ancient times was part of ancient korea was because korea strengthened the sword and shield or overcome that of chinas, defeating china wit something that they themselves created..

marz u are the dumbest bullshit talking mother fuker i have ever seen...korean culture is something that consists of history that existed from more than 5000 years ago, so dont make up bullshit about korea taking up japans cultures? eat a dik, japan was after korea's time u fukin dumbshit. korea consisted of many different countries that made up one country from ancient times, countries that spread out into the lands of china itself

btnikk 5 years ago
It is not necessary to discuss it.
When everyone sees the reality of North Korea, the culture of a Korean
peninsula will be able to be understood.
It is people who insist, "A British ancestor is South Korean".
It's a waste of time.
qOoOyuuu 5 years ago
A Korean insists that "the origin of kendo is Korea".
This is said to be barbarian, and what will be prohibited?
In Korea, as for both the samurai and the tea ceremony, even the Japanese Emperor insists that Korea is the origin.
Korea says to soccer and a Mongolian and a Briton that Korea is the origin in the country.
I filter it, and, as for the Korean, will not even intelligence have barbarian where?
marz12aug 5 years ago
no kendo is japanese, but teacremony is korean, and the class of samuri is based on the korean class "sam wun a bi" which was a marcinary type people. and yes japanese royal family has links to korean decendents. before the meji restoration, japan's main source of influence was from korea
dokebipower 5 years ago
Ha-ha. A Korean is very interesting.
A Japanese knows it well in the origin of a Korean insisting samurai. Of course it is a funny story.
The novel that a certain Korean mathematician wrote it is grounds.
Then "sam wun a bi" is Korean of the present age. This cannot become the etymology of a samurai.
The etymology of a samurai is ancient Japanese of "saburau". This is a meaning of person "which" serves. It is a real false rumor about the Emperor.
A Korean is always ridiculous.
marz12aug 5 years ago
wow. you really dont know basics of japanese history. the sa wun abi theory is loosely based, sure. but still cant prove it false or ture. but the japanese royal family is definantly korean decendant. at one point in japanese history, 1/3 of the nobels was korean. korean philoshpers, teachers, artists was kidnapped due to popularity of korean influence before the meji restoration. you really think the tea cermony is uniquely japanese?
dokebipower 5 years ago
Are you deceived by the Korea government?
marz12aug 5 years ago
your really stupid. take a look at diffrent aspects of japanese culture, and tell me if it resembles korean culture. even the language for example, sounds alot alike, but doesnt sound chinese or south east asian. i am aware japanese people are mixed(many experts would say the orgins of the languages korean, japanese is from mongols). some examples of korean influence: japanese buddism is more like korean buddism than any other type
dokebipower 5 years ago
your really stupid too.
Did a Briton make the American culture?
Those Korean culture came from China and other areas. If your theory is right, it is China and India that made Korea.
Do not you think that Japan affected Korea?
Many of phrases which you Korean uses come from Japan. Do you insist that Korea of the present age was made by Japan?
marz12aug 5 years ago
By the way, what is Korean original culture?
Will you teach it in a concrete example?
What is there other than kimchi?
By the way, as for the etymology of a samurai, it is settled by Japanese ancient documents.
Does the Korea government work on rejection of a Japanese language? After all Korea is the nation which is nonsense same as North Korea. Escape early.
marz12aug 5 years ago
look at koreajapanese artchitecutre, the curved roofs expose the insides of the roofs unlike chinese buildings which roofs resembles a hat. i know japanese is mixed, dummy but japanese like to lie to themselves the only real japanese are ainus. japanese language is rejected? koreans were forced to speak japanese during the colonial era. koreans didnt just choose to learn
dokebipower 5 years ago
Your claim is a delusion based on your desire entirely.
No, as for you, only a one-sided theory is thought about by brainwashing education of the Korea government.
The reason why Korea resembles Japan is that Korea took Japanese influence from the ancient times. Why do you ignore the possibility?
marz12aug 5 years ago
were you really educated in japan? either you werent or japan schools need to get better! wow, thats really sad. korea did get influnced during colonization era. but before the meji restoration (westerinzation of japan after the last shogun steped down) japan's primary source of influence and trade was korea. in most of ancient history korea was more advance than japan which resemebled a typical south east island nation, but china was more advance than korea.oh and i didnt go to korean school
dokebipower 5 years ago
Ha-ha.
Did you study the history in U.S.A.?
You are really ignorant. Japan interchanged with China directly in the ancient times. I learned the basics of culture from China.
Korea is a way station.
By the way, is Korea the origin of a sword?
Is Korea the origin of iron manufacture?
Do you teach so it with an American textbook?
By the way, please examine it about VANK early.
marz12aug 5 years ago
If an inventor of iron is the origin of kendo, it is a Hittite.
There was the sword from Bronze Age.
Perhaps an inventor of bronze understands it nobody. Why is Korea the origin of kendo? It is China that introduced a sword and iron into Korea. Then it is China in the origin of kendo. However, the Hittite had iron from China on old days. It is a Hittite in the origin of kendo.
Is the origin of kendo a Hittite when I use your logic? Korea is a way station.
marz12aug 5 years ago
It is you that do not respect culture of somebody.
Why did China and Japan have to conceal Korean culture?
The time when Japan did here. Evidence is left to both a textbook written in the Korean Hangul Alphabet and a newspaper. There was a Korean Diet member, too.
There was a Korean lieutenant general, too. They used a Korean name.
Did the Korean leave all in 35 years?
It is the Korea government that concealed. They operated the history to arrange legitimacy of the Korean government.
marz12aug 5 years ago
look, believe what you want. i have many japanese friends that said the same thing as me. so i really dont care if japan has close links with koreans, it doesnt make a diffrence in my life, maybe yours. i know what i read, and im not going to throw away what i learned just becuase one idiot on the internet, so stop geting mad and just let it be
dokebipower 5 years ago
Thus?
You please answer my question logically.
Was the iron invented by Korea?
Was the sword invented by Korea?
What kind of thing is the sword which Korea taught in Japan?
Is it your Japanese friend?
Do you submit the thing which cannot prove it to evidence in U.S.A.?
It is hardly thought that there is such a Japanese to me.
Does my Korean friend admit that kendo is sports of Japanese origin?
marz12aug 5 years ago
Grounds that Korea is the origin of kendo are not discovered by my investigation.
Association of Japanese kendo denies a Korean tyrannical claim overall. It is only a good-natured person believing a Korean and a Korean for a blind belief that support your claim.

F7997 this is the world kendo championship..., but it can be mistaken because of all the cheering but this is the finals OBVIOUSLY everyone is getting excited korea woulda raped japan this year in the wkc but usa raped them first... if korea>usa and usa>japan then korea>japan

Yeah, it's a debana kote and a hiki-do. Bloody good hit as well for the hiki-do, they are rarely every scored. Cheering may be good, but it can be distracting for the kendoka, so all our club every does is yell out the occasional 'fighto!'

It's really sucks they're yelling around during the match.
Or maybe.. since kendo is Japanese martial art it can't be helped that those anti-Japanese people don't know the manner. I am not Japanese (am Australian), but I LOVE Japan and people over there. I reckon you better learn their modesty a bit. be kind. ;)
