as an RTS is was pretty good but Games developers need to go larger scale, with full map zoom out and differing levels of units etc....

Supreme Commander FA is still the "best" RTS out there on paper but for most is too hard to get into....

This is just them attempting to revive an old game that still is played to get sum more money. It is still incredbily popular (cough cough korea cough) and they want to statisfy those fans. It may not be the best, but it is something to look forward to.

Played both games a ton, and I have to say I agree. Halo Wars is good in theory, but the console controls and the basic selections of units are kind of boring. And SOCKET BASES! The most horrible thing to ever happen to RTS games.
