I cleared my eyes and looked next to me at my friend Mark and we were both balling like babies. Everyone in the Dome that night was crying. We all knew that our time was finally here and the Spurs would take it all this year. The amount of elation is inexplicable to anyone who hadn't been through the heartache of all the previous seasons. I have never cried at any other sporting event. I'd bet any amount of money you weren't a spurs fan back then who went through all the heartaches. You're clueless.It was the single greatest moment for spurs fans who've been through it all. Plus, Sean Elliot was ailing from kidney problems that required a transplant..and we didn't even know it until after the season.

@JZ2001JC evans can play the point, rose is just better suited for the position, evans is a utility player guy where he can defend three positions, play the 1 as a playmaker, but can only play the 2 or 3 just as a scorer, he's an interesting player. Lol and yes Derrick is better than Rondo, fuck this celtics team, its bought success, as are the current lakers, people overplay rondo cuz he gets assists from 3 great shooters, while he himself cant shoot for shit, i can shoot better than him haha.

@playoffexpert1. Put Rondo on the Bulls instead of Rose or on Kings instead of Evans and you will see those teams do even worse than ever. ROndo is nothing without the Big 3. Heck Perkins and Baby Davis would be out of the league without KG. KG/Allen moves in Summer 2007 changed the culture of that whole Celtics team.

@JZ2001JC Rondo just seems better because of the players around him. rondo always get open lanes because of the post defenders focus on keeping KG from getting postion, ray allens defender never leaves his side and with pierce running around and grabbing attetion. Rondo doesnt force himself into paint like Tony parker, chris paul, or Deron Williams does. im tired of ESPN trying to say that rondo is the best PG in the NBA. because he messed up game 6 last night. he took way too many stupid shots.

@SAtownZ28 Thats Doc's fault this boy wouldnt start for me if he didnt work on a one dribble past the FT line pull up jumper, forget 3's and the perimeter, a point guard should always be able to pull up at the foul line and consistently bury that shot with the D backing up. He is fast he gets where he wants but he's not a great setup man he doenst know when to get PP RA or KG the ball as a PG theres a certain time for that,you cant always rely on the penetrate and dish, gotta get your guys goin.

i must say Ralph Sampson had the luckiest shot, but this is the purely hardest earned shot and took the most concentration in NBA history.

It's also without a doubt the loudest moment of a crowd in NBA history, the players had to be going deaf

How is one of the most difficult clutch three pointers ever made in the history of basketball only #54? I haven't seen the higher ranked "greatest moments", but something gives me the bad feeling that there's going to be at least 4 three point plays that are far less difficult or interesting than this higher on the list, and they will be probably made by Lakers teams. I hope that isn't the case though, or this whole ranked numbers thing will be pointless since it'll just be biased to teams.

well im a spurs fan. but not knowing which teams going to win is half the fun. because last season orlando was one of the last teams that i would have thought of going to the finals. but if not the spurs i would rather want the suns( because i like nash) or Houston( because i like yao) but i dont want kobe or shaq to get 1 more ring than duncan. but i think this will be a good season due to all the big time players moving to differnet teams.

Ok this is highly underated. it should be in like the 30's at least. If you actually see the shot, his toes are inbounds but his heels are out, but not touching the ground. He's able to hop, balance himself on his toes, knowing he's almost out stays on his toes, and takes the shot right in sheeds face. How many ppl can shoot right on there toes? especially with all the pressure. AND THE MAN HAS ONE KIDNEY! come on u gotta realize, that was one of the greatest clutch shots of ALL TIME.

Aye, this NBA list is focused on hype, and most-watched-memories type of garbage. It's ridiculous. I know a lot of people didn't watch because it was the lockout season & fans were pissed, but I watched & it was a GREAT playoffs. Also, that Spurs team had a solid mix of role players in Kerr, Mario Elie, Avery, Jaren Jackson & Malik.

Heck, I'm a Laker fan yet this shot should make the top 15 easy, and it's better IMO than Jordan's #1 and arguably Magic's baby sky hook.

He was also a World Champion in 1986 facing the USSR leaded by Sabonis (and a lot of stars americans dont know). I think he was not in the team who lost against USSR in Seoul'88. You can see how valuable he was.
