I thought RTD joked about the Rani, and only added that tiny segment just in case any future writers wanted to use the master again. I am 99% sure it wasn't Donna though, but in Season 4, she was supposed to be extremely significant and she didn't end up doing much other than press a few buttons, but then again, maybe that was it.
I think it would be either a "good" or a "bad" move on RTD's part to use Donna as the Rani, though I've heard her character will be played by Gillian Anderson (X-Files), however it's only a rumor and nothing official. Yet.
The fact that using The Rani as either Lucy or Donna would have been the perfect experiment. She changes herself human for her own means. Unless The Master just rewrote Lucy's biology - as The Rani, however she may have used The Master in the older series HATES him, etc.

how can you say that with no evidence? i reckon it is a band of monsters i.e the plan russel had for journeys end when every monster from the new series came back. a slitheen , and a cyberman and a graske have already been spotted in the last episode so i believe that is what it is - and the reason being its an "IT" must be because they are in some sort of group
that is an interesting idea. the one thing i have learned from Russel Davie's writing style is that he doesn't like inventing new villains, so he usually just uses Daleks, Cybermen, or Master for his big episodes. I understand why everyone thinks it's Master though. But a group of enemies teamed up would suit his writing style perfectly.
this book i have on russels writing - there is an a4 sketch of the 10th doctor and donna looking at EVERY alien or monster and villain in the whole new series as i said , that was planned for journeys end.I have heard a tale that the untempered schism that was used on gallifrey is used on the 10th doctor as a punishment by the revived timelords for destroying them in the time war - in a way , to finally finish him of his travels in time and space , - it makes a good ending with a cliffhanger

Ah, I was right there with you until you showed Rose...I loved her character, but I was glad to see her go...and again the second time, although a bit of a cop-out in my opinion, still happy to see her go. I really, REALLY hope they do not bring her back again. I mean, they'd have to spend too much time explaining how she got there and why she's back...which could be used doing something else. Otherwise, great fan-made trailer :)

What I don't understand is that RTD said "The Rani" picked up the ring.
However much I doubt Donna took the ring; I think it was Lucy...perhaps.
Not sure how it's all going to turn out.
According to IMDB the Rani is IN one of the finales (Can't remember which episode this is however D:)
I believe Donna will return - even before seeing all the spoilerage.
That's just my thoughts however, I could be wrong.

I thought RTD joked about the Rani, and only added that tiny segment just in case any future writers wanted to use the master again. I am 99% sure it wasn't Donna though, but in Season 4, she was supposed to be extremely significant and she didn't end up doing much other than press a few buttons, but then again, maybe that was it.

I think it would be either a "good" or a "bad" move on RTD's part to use Donna as the Rani, though I've heard her character will be played by Gillian Anderson (X-Files), however it's only a rumor and nothing official. Yet.
The fact that using The Rani as either Lucy or Donna would have been the perfect experiment. She changes herself human for her own means. Unless The Master just rewrote Lucy's biology - as The Rani, however she may have used The Master in the older series HATES him, etc.

Its not called series 5 :( so much will change including the sonic, the interior of tardis, outside of tardis, doctor, companion, all old characters like jack, martha and rose will never return when matt takes over, the logo of doctor who, the tittles of doctor who etc... the writer has called it series 1 :( people have said that the new writer has gone to far...

Does anyone reckon that the thing that is returning through the dark is the thing from Midnight. like that was the master or something and it tried to take over the doctor to gain a new body? it knocked 4 times aswell :) just a thought. probs not true though :D

he is a villain timelord that has been in the show since 1971. He wants to control the universe and of course get rid of the Doctor. He was the doctor's classmate on the doctor;s home planet. It was thought he had died in the 1996 doctor who movie but in the new series, the time lords resurrected him to help them in the Time War - which he ended up fleeing from.

how can you say that with no evidence? i reckon it is a band of monsters i.e the plan russel had for journeys end when every monster from the new series came back. a slitheen , and a cyberman and a graske have already been spotted in the last episode so i believe that is what it is - and the reason being its an "IT" must be because they are in some sort of group

that is an interesting idea. the one thing i have learned from Russel Davie's writing style is that he doesn't like inventing new villains, so he usually just uses Daleks, Cybermen, or Master for his big episodes. I understand why everyone thinks it's Master though. But a group of enemies teamed up would suit his writing style perfectly.

this book i have on russels writing - there is an a4 sketch of the 10th doctor and donna looking at EVERY alien or monster and villain in the whole new series as i said , that was planned for journeys end.I have heard a tale that the untempered schism that was used on gallifrey is used on the 10th doctor as a punishment by the revived timelords for destroying them in the time war - in a way , to finally finish him of his travels in time and space , - it makes a good ending with a cliffhanger

Ah, I was right there with you until you showed Rose...I loved her character, but I was glad to see her go...and again the second time, although a bit of a cop-out in my opinion, still happy to see her go. I really, REALLY hope they do not bring her back again. I mean, they'd have to spend too much time explaining how she got there and why she's back...which could be used doing something else. Otherwise, great fan-made trailer :)

but I don't know, the Master thinks of himself as superior (and so do the Daleks and Davros) - I don't think they'd team up. Cybermen are lame, they'd probably get on their knees and ask for a truce but I don't think the others would.
I just hope Donna, Rose and Jack come back together MINUS the clone Doctor. I don't care much for Martha though. Ooh, and K-9! Gotta love K-9!
