Blimey...when you listen to Keith's drumming on this, it's quite hard to believe that he passed out quite soon after this after ingesting goodness knows what - silly boy. It's a crying shame that he generally gets remembered for all the wrong reasons though. He was probably the greatest rock drummer so far - certainly that THIS country has ever produced. Even when Keith was having an off night, most drummers would LOVE to be so good! You will always be missed Moonie x
@lexy67flc the man personified mad genius...some of his work, even after 30 ohh crap, 40 years still amazes me...i play, err played, and just to try to copy some of his stuff would drive me insane..a legend, and sadly hes remembered for his loonieness
wow hard to believe this was the one where Keith passed out! evidence that even when obliterated Moonie was still genius! it makes me wonder sometimes what he would've sounded like if he's been a tea totaler! LOL
He would have sucked!!! As a fan...one who partied with them and got info in '82 Keith was imploding and even if he lived would have been forced to rehab... like Pete did to Clapton.
KING PETER TOWNSEND. The place is half dead in cynical waiting for the follow-up to 'Tommy' and "Who's Next', and this absolute ACE shows 'em. Pete was really unmatched and unmatchable. AMAZING here and around this time. NOBODY could play so beatifully. Hendrix was dead and Clapton and Page stayed a little set-back.
One of the best performances ever-b the guys are on all 16 cylinders...even tho KEITH IS UNDERMIKED. Truly a testimony to the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. No one could touch these guys when they were on.. this vid is a very close indicator...
they are all brilliant, sadly i'll probably only ever see daltrey live, wish I could see them all

Best band ever. They are all high as fuck.
Some bodies can handle the abuse for longer than others.
Ha, that what it boils down to.
Im waiting to see how long I can handle it.

Moon died from an overdose of pills he was taking for his alcohol abuse. Best drummer ever, wish he was still around.

@lexy67flc It's even more amazing that he didn't pass out more often after playing like that.

funny how Hendrix died and Pete, Eric, and Jimmy all went through extensive rehab for Heroin. Is it me...or is there a really heinous pattern there?

The thrill's a bit vicarious with the muffled sound, but this is a treasure. Thanks for posting!
