I'm not sure if this has ever happened to another champion before. Marcel Cerdan had been dethroned when he was killed in a plane crash, its the only thing close in my estimation.

Pancho Villa was great but ignoring a tooth infection when you're a boxer isn't exactly the smartest thing to do.

The band is "Sun Kil Moon". There are two versions of this same song, the heavier version is titled "Salvador Sanchez", the acoustic version (this one) is titled "Pancho Villa". The song is about boxers that died prematurely but I edited out the rest of it for this vid.

thanks jaguarKnight! I´m a super fan of Sal SAnchez, not only because of his great boxing skills, but becasue the people who knew him outside the ring only say great things about his personality, including most boxers he fought!

Anybody who knows about Boxing, has te recognize he was an All Time Great! He had it all: Punch, Hand Speed, Leg Movility, A Diamond Chin, Rithm, Counterpunching, Head Mobilityand the Best Fisical Condition I have ever seen! He fought all rounds the same way, form 1 to 15! Super gifted Human for this sport! And best of all, He was incredibly Humble and Quiet beeing almost a Kid and having so much fame, that made him even Greater!
