i must say, i have been researching for quite some time and using google searches and youtube videos to help in designing our new media room (in the process of moving into our first home) and i must say this i the FIRST clip i have actually bookmarked! I like the design, it seems not too flashy, but still money well spent. Kudos to your sir!
The room is approximately 15ft x 20ft One thing I forgot to mention is this room was built in a walk-up attic. The stadium style seating was designed as a result of the trey ceiling in the master bedroom that was built below it. I did not want to waste the space so I built the second row seating on top of the trey ceiling. I'm considering adding my theater to AVSFORUM to provide more details. Thanks for viewing
Thanks for the positive feedback. I do not have a build thread on AVS. I basically read over many of the threads on AVS and really "winged" it. I am your basic DIYr with no real experience in carpentry. I just followed what others have done on AVS and tweaked to make it my own. My screen is curved 120" wide 2.35 aspect ratio. The screen cost me roughly $400 to build. I used window solar shade fabric for the screen and 2x4s to frame.
Nice use of space. Did you make a build thread on AVS? If so, whats your user name? I've been on AVS forum for about 7 years or so. Just finished my theater also.
