  • I love Rose hairs!!! :D Mine is in premolt right now thou and can't be handled ugh :(

  • I have a Chilean Rose too. My first that I got about a month ago. Just love her! And so the addiction began. I still haven't got anymore yet, but I want them. :)

  • i hate spiders...and this one is friggin creepy O_O

  • It looks so cute

  • i'm sure spider and black women both share the same characteristics like having huge butts, deadly to other people, hairy, ugly, eat anything.

  • @zixerqwert hahahhahahaahhahaahhahaahahahhaha lol!

  • @Kiethcrack77 , the spider is very easy to look after, all you need is a decent size tank with a red basking light, the tank needs to be about 25 degrees and you have to keep it moist. That all ou need for the basic set up, a few wood chippings and a shelter then thats it then :) Oh and you need the insects to have some fun :D

  • how can you tell if its male or female? btw 1 out of 1000 rosies are savage mine is that 1 hahah i put a cushion in there poked it it turned around with a jump and started biting it looked bit more like a rapist at his/her work ahahahha

  • These spiders are so cool and I want one so bad, but I've never had a spider as a pet before =/

  • be carfull tarantulas can crack if you drop em!

  • @omgomg113 like eggs? do its guts pour out like an eggs yolk? I'm not being funny, i really want to know...

  • @dean42bean I don't know :S , But they propaly die ... Gr8 english ^^

  • are and by the way monomario6969 u cruel person u should be shot

  • are and by the way monomario6969 u cruel person u should be shot

  • realy cute iv got one

  • una araña pollito i use to make them fight with lizards!!

  • kinda weird... i have a video from a mobile phone, looks exactly like this one, of my first and only chilean rose tarantula, and my name is also Daniel lol

  • ive just bought 1 yesterday, but fink heat mat int working properly, cant get tank over 20 degrees n there quite alot of condensation in tank, is that normal???

  • is this breed venomous???

    if it is how venomous?

  • All spiders are venomous. I've heard there venom can only kill something about as big as its size. There initial bite i hear feels like being stabbed with pliers for only about a half a second. I owned my rose for about a year now, no bites yet :)

  • its venomous, but their bite wont kill you, it will only irritate you, im buying one on saturday

  • i wana get 1 for crimbo

  • im so gutted!!!! My chilli rose died this morning. 11 years old. not bad for a male. R.I.P Vegeta (prince of all tarantulas)

  • Yea 11 years is pretty good for a male. Sorry for your loss. D:

Id feel pretty bad if my T died.

    You going to get another?

  • Do they bite at all?I'm thinking of getting one!

  • they can bite but its usually a last resort and theyll give u a warning before they bite

  • The only time you should worry about being bit by this breed of spider is 1) if you put your finger by her with crickets or other food in her cage 2) when shes in any moulting stages, even weeks before moulting. 3) Dunno if its true, but having sweaty, really dirty hands can make her feel uncomfortable, and then holding her for even longer.

  • yeah you should wait till it molts but for now keep very good care of it

  • why watch the video then

  • ahhhh im well scared or freakin spiders

  • Anyone know how to help a chile rose that has really hurt his legs mine cant even walk probaly and i dont know why anyone got any ideas ?

  • how did it "hurt" its legs? Broken or amputated?

Just make 100% sure that its eating and eventually it will grow new legs by sheding.

  • best take it to a vet if it cant walk properly

  • Leave it alone, it will eventually over a few moults grow a new leg.

worst case is, you need to breka the legs off the insects you feed it to enable it to eat

  • make a icu theres a vidio on youtube somewhere how to make one, its basicly a food contaner with damp tissue on the bottem and a water bowl, keep the spider in, it keeps them well hydrated and cant hurt them selvs iside it they heal up very quickly

  • i love them i soon hope to get one :) there so gorgeous i love them. fp i dojt se how anyone could h8 them. all it is they dont udnerstand them they tully are amazings creatuers

  • what do you mean 4.2 of them?

  • they are different sentences, she has 4 total, 2 are roses, 1 is an sp birdeater and a pink-toe birdeater, making a total of 4

  • lmao (:

  • very nice

  • hi, nice spider, i have just got a chilean rose spiderling, and for his substrate i have used fresh composs out of a brand new bag, and microwaved it to get rid of any germs ect.. can someone just let me know if using compost is ok? and it kinda gives a garden smell too lol, is it ok?

  • lol i have same one but mine is bigger:P

  • What's the best enclosure and food to get?

  • I wanna get one of these one day!

  • hello i have resently bought a T he settled in perfect in the first 2 weeks but the last 2 days she has been very lazy not eating and has a couple of bold patches on the abdumum i am getting really worried some one please write to me please

  • Looks exactly like mine when i got her. She flicked her hairs at me once and it stings, but she's a really calm friendly spider most the time ha.

  • HOLY SHIT! I OWN A CHILEAN ROSE TARANTULA AND MY NAME IS DAN & I MADE A VIDEO OF IT & ITS SHOT EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!! WTF!! LOL SERIOUSLY IDENTICAL CAMERA ANGLES, SAME TARANTULA SPECIES, SAME NAME..... wow

  • u r smart, the chillian rose is a very easy tarantula to start off with

  • ahhh KILL IT!

  • You're old enough to know better. I feel sorry for these things. Hollywood used them cos they are the EASIEST to handle.

You can make anything look "evil" with simple editing!

  • ok im sorry

  • Aah..... You okay!

  • ya um.. well theres a good song called chicken fried by zach br0wn u should searh it up

  • To below comment yes they are.Chillian roses are very calm and dosile spiders.

  • true i had one and they are really calm!

  • are salmon pinks good for beginners?

  • i just got my chilean rose yesterday and they recomended to me i didnt handle it for a while because it needs to get used to its new home and this morning i put my hand in the cage and slowly nudged the spider on my hand and i was very suprised it didnt bite me or shoot its hairs at me.

  • probably about 2 years in that

  • what age is it here? i got one a few days ago, think its about 2 yrs bt aint sure....

  • sooo cutee.

  • thank you

  • lol thats so cute

  • true lol

  • Im thinking about buying one(a Chilean rose tarantula)..Few questions

    -What if it bites me?

    -Are they aggressive?

-Which is better Male or Female

This is my first spider and i've read that it is the spider to get for beginners....

  • if it bites u it is like a bee sting. there have been no deaths from chilean rose's

this type of tarantula is not aggresive at all lol but u may get 1 or 2 aggressive ones.

females are better as they last longer males only last a few years where as females last about 10-15. thanks

  • if it bites you, itll only hurt but if you have trouble breathing or have an allergic reaction phone the hospital if you are allergic it can kill you, but otherwise youll get a rash maybe, itll be itchy, ussualy they are friendly, it depends on what personality it has and you whant a female itll live much longer

  • i have the same breed of spider! LOL, my cat tries to eat it!

  • lol the cat will win

  • hey i have a trantula just like urs but mines a girl have any ideas to pick her up? ive tried but she like trys to attack me instead

  • hiya put one hand out flat in front of her and gently push her back legs and she should walk on to your hand.

  • Nice....i saw a tarantula on my last trip to my native country :).She was walking, chilling by the beach on the sand at night.

  • cool

  • Those spiders are cool! i want one :(

  • y not get one they aint expensive and very easy to care for

  • @Ninjastk yeah so do i.

  • i would love one but i would never touch one. how long do tarantula's live for. reply back please.

  • male chilean rose's live for 4-5 years.

female chilean rose's live for about 15-20 years.

that's what the lady in a pet shop said.

  • Nice Tarantula owner myself of a 10month Chili, 1 Chili Flame sling and 1 Curly Hair sling.

  • cool i have had all them b4 lol

  • dude i would never hold one you are so brave

  • Love your spider iv'e got a 6 month old female Chilean Rose.

    How old is your female.

Who is very placid and easy to handle.

  • she is a year and a half old lol. how big is yours and how do u no its female lol.

  • You're a crazy man!!!!!! ^^

  • i no lol

  • yes you are!!!!

  • Rose hairs are beautiful, and they're sweeties.

  • you people are crazy for having those things as pets

  • I remember when I got my first Rose Hair how normal it felt just to hold her. It feels a bit like a cat.

  • Nice Rose Tarantula. I used to have a Mexican Red Leg and a Black Velvet, but never did have a Rose. Nice spider and video!

  • when mine molted first it didnt grow vary fast but the second time it grew huge... she always flips onto her back before molting and will stop eatting for about two weeks to a month it also starts making alot of web for pertetsion

  • omg if i saw one of them in real life i think i would have a heart attack lol im petrified of spiders lol

  • Aw, looks just like my guy and about the same size. I don't think my guy has ever sat in my hand. he' always crawling all over me.

  • she molted a few weeks ago and is huge now!!

  • How do you know when they are going to molt? Mine hasn't eaten in over a month, which can sometimes mean they are going to molt, but I don't know if she did already before I bought her. I just don't want her to starve to death. Chilean Rose's have the highest starvation rating.

  • same lmfao

  • my chile roses abdomens looking rather thin at the base at the sides, instead iof being nice and round its looking bulb shaped!!!! i just hope that it starts toe at soon enough to fill out its abdomen again!

  • if the end are bulb shaped its probebly male dous it has loong legs and a small ass i chose a girl cuzz they life 3ties longer then males

  • nah i recon its female there are no tribal hooks on its front legs,

  • anybody know the best type of substrate for a chile rose? as i have used woodchip and i was told it was bad for my t's and im now using moss and pete and they wont walk on it any tips please? thanks

  • Use 100% organic peat moss. And that's perfectly normal; tarantulas tend to react to new substrate by not walking on it for awhile. Give it a couple more weeks and it'll settle down. If it doesn't, then that means the substrate is too moist.

  • thank you

  • i use sand but yet again im not an tarantula expert and will someone tell me if sand is ok

  • personally i would say dont use sand. i use vermiculite and peat mixed together. dan

  • thank you I was thinking that sand would be bad for my pinktoe
