yes i would have to go with all the comments of to slow and far to tight a turn at slow speed on the final very hard to see if he has flaps deployed you can see the wing tip in and its all over rover shame nice bird hope he saved a few parts
@MyWillyboi you are an a** hole. everyone crashes. he just turned a little too tight at a little too low speed and stalled. do you expect me to understand that you have never crashed in your life? don't be a buttock.
Very common is a stall in the landing phase. You need to keep speed up until you r on final. If u stall with wings level u usually can recover. Stay with it, flying is very fun, but unforgiving? Old A6-E aviator.
LOOKS Like one of the new SAPAC composite jets (excellent jets at excellent prices (249 - 300) that are EDF or small turbine. I have 2 of their L-39 models, but neither have this finish, but both are same size and features. Even have the tricycle gear!
That is a BVM, model airplane kit, designed by Bob Violett Models (BVM), now sold by Skymaster. You are correct on the nomenclature it is indeed a L-39 Albatros (with one "s") But what's wrong with the gear?
But yeah the gear was a bit weird unless thats just the way it works as at 2 mins 18secs the left main was down and nothing else for some time at least after??
you see alot of rc pilots turn real tight im not sure if they know that as your bank angle increase so does your stall speed so be careful dont bank so much
Ya, he dumb thumbed that baby in. You could see a buffet at 2:50 and 2:54. As I fly with more and more fellow RCers, its shocks me as to how many do not fully inderstand a stall. They don't realize that it's a function of angle-of-attack, not speed. Too many times I've seen a great plane going in due to the idoit at the stick, that thinks if he keeps pulling back, it should go up.
It nearly stalled at 2:50 way before the crash. If he had spotted that he wouldn't have tried the next tight turn at such a slow speed. Didn't look like there was any flap but I could be wrong. Classic stall.
mm...accelerated stall from airspeed drop during the turn? I'm not that familiar with the RC aircraft--not sure how you all do it. It seems really tough
Wide sweeping turns....! Just about every turn you made was too tight. You cannot do that with turbines. Keep your speed up and NEVER make tight turns. High-speed stalls are very common with these things if your turns are too tight. Not only were your turns too tight but your speed was too low. Too bad it was a nice plane. Not tryna kick you when you're down but maybe next time you'll not repeat.
standard rate turns. when you are slow flying use standard rate turns with oposite rudder. very easy to get behind the power curve when turning on base. little power with nose slightly down and standard rate would have never happened..
@wcolby I like right before the crash the pilot says "D*MN IT, F*CK" then he crashes "GOD D*MN IT". They should not dumb*ss's who cant fly touch a simulator let alone sell him a turbine powered r/c engine! That guys blows d*nkey at flying and he could have used that money for his kids college fund. The plane made a loud *ss smack and their dad develops terette's and they are all dopey do duh dad did it crash!

The kids yappin in the back didn't help!!! LOL That alone would have caused pilot error on my behalf! ZIP IT KIDS!!!

i can see a possibility where you were turning to sharply at lower speeds where a jets stall speed is....to my estimation.

Is BVM the brand of turbine or who made the plane? Cause the model is an L39. Either way the only problem here was the tricycle gear.

don't you know the saying?
Silly Pilots, tricycles are for kids!
And I know plenty about the L-39, we have 3 or 4 real ones on the field where I work. I've got about .5 hours in one too.
Really though its a nice looking and flying model and the crash sucks. It looked like a high speed stall, what with the banking and all.
Tell that guy to watch his mouth around the kids too. jeez.

He did fly to slow, you must land a jet whit higher speed.
You can try 500x but if you dont go fast enough...
Its not a 3D plane or something.
