whats a cutoff? what happens when you put a lipo on a stock motor or speed controller planing to buy this my second rc car and i want to put a lipo battery on it cause the people said its better

@iluvparkour13 The lipo will run down too much (below 3v) and be ruined - or at least make it very difficult to recover and recharge it. The cut off can simply be a little buzzer you fit in-line with the battery to warn you to switch off the car when voltage gets low, you can recharge than and your battery will be fine.

I have this truck and I LOVE IT! The electronics are not the greatest, but they do work, and upgrades in minis are CHEAP. It's one quick little bugger, too! VERY efficient motor they have in there! Runtimes ARE EXELLENT, even with the stock battery! I get 45 minutes of hard pushing on a 2000mah 2s lipo. Temps are okay, but it's been cold out. Might be a different story in the summer.

There's a LOT on that truck that's screaming "Pro-Pulse" and RC18...It borderline scares me because I had mixed luck with the Pro-Pulse. The electronics were kinda wonky and a managed to snap a couple shock towers. (Granted I had the buggy) I'm not a fan of the ball diffs in bashers either. I was excited about this thing but the animus sort of does it for me with gear diffs. It's a tossup...

Great video as always! Just noticed that you mention that there is not any brushless 1/18th scale car, but there is. You can get the TA RC18T2/B2 with a Reedy brushless system!

i do have foam try to look inside your rim from the inside u will see a tiny hole if u press your tire you will see your foam.Not a fan of that tiny hole lol water could soak the foam

You know what bugs me...you said the "power limiters" on the losi sct weren't capacitors. The more I think about it the more I believe I was right when I said they were capacitors.

@rcguy8038 put you're mind at ease sir the power limiters are not capacitors. There are capacitors on the backside of the motor can but they re job is simply to eliminate noise.

@rcguy8038 No need. I'm sure it was a misprint. Here's the tech on those "power limiting" barrels. They are not capacitors but rather a type of inductor. The inductor is used to limit the current to the motor by means of smaller solid gauge wire wrapped around a metal core. When the current draw exceeds a certain point the wire acts as a resister and burns off excess power as heat. Take a close look, you can see the coiled wire under the shrink wrap.
