The game is 6 years old now so it needs more tweaking but those things are being wasted right now cause people won't shut up about how much they hate the game so Sega won't go back to the Adventure style and try again.

The orginal Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast is ALOT more "Sega fanboy" based then "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle"...Sega bought Shadow in to create hype towards the game..Sega was trying to keep viewers.

The problem was SA2 for the Dreamcast came out during the downfall of the Dreamcast...in 2001.

By the time 2002 hit, pawn-shops was loaded with Dreamcast consoles due to people not wanting them anymore.

So the Dreamcast version never really got the hype it should had.

But when SOAP came in to ask Sega to advertise their shoe's they also asked Sega to have Sonic wear Soap shoe's but Sega wouldn't agree to it, so they compromised and made Sonic Style Soap Shoes :)

Sonic Adventure 2 was the name of the Dreamcast original, which had internet connecton to download events, skins, menu items, and I think had a community or PvP. The GameCube Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is a remake with certain features added and removed, such as added and removed playable 2 player characters, an improved chao system (you could see what their stats were, and you could see how much stamina they had left in a race), chao karate, but no Big Cameos in the story and stages.

You mean 10 years too late. The Dreamcast stopped making games in either 2000 or 2001, but this is a 2000 game. That's why it has superior graphics for back then. Metroid Prime was waay better in that department, though.

@musicfreak605x You don't know of the three Sonic Games that are being worked on now, do you? Sonic Colors is awsome, Sonic 4 is awsome, and the new riders... is a racing game so it doesnt count, but yeah, the games are nolonger "downhill."

While I don't realy like many of them myself, they werent going downhill as much as oldschool fans exadgerating anything different, Sonic 4 uses modern sonic, and fanboys hate it more than anything...

@Neovenator231 Sonic 4 is a step forward since it combines the old 2d and 3d so its 2.5d but Sonic Colors looks dumb and im not a fan of "Sonic Riders" they have no storyline that drags you in, i got Sonic Unleashed and that was only ok but after SA2 all sonic games went "downhill" as i said before. And if you've played Sonic from 1991 'till now you would understand why the "fanboys" think that it died after SA2. My favorites are SA1,SA2, and the Sonic The Hedgehog series from the early '90s.

Gameplay wise:Sonic 3, Sa1, Sa2/Shadow the Hedgehog(Honestly, I don't like mechs or treasure hunting, which is in shth and Sa2, but theres more in Sa2), Unleashed, Sonic CD, Secret Rings, Rush Series, Sonic 2, Advance Series, Sonic battle, Sonic 1, Heroes, Riders, Rivals Series, Secret Rings, The Fighters.

Many of these are unerrated for being different.

Add Black Knight and Sonic R as bad.

Chronologically, they never went downhill.

And yes, most games are underrated from Sonic (and other franchises) these days just for being different. But overall, I agree with you.

To be honest, actual physics would prevent it. Both Sonic and Shadow both weigh less than the cars they ram into. Going that fast directly into a parked car with the E-Brake, (because some are parked on the hills) they would pretty much become a grease-stain on the glass...

But who says Sonic had realistic physics anyways? Isn't that why we play it? lol
