@childprotective Yes all Android phones have an adjustable brightness setting. You can select auto-brightness and allow the device to manage the screen's brightness levels, or you can set it to remain at your desired brightness level.
@JingerSK The internet connections is always active. There really isn't a need to disconnect. Your data plan is unlimited, so there is no need to shut it ott.
@JingerSK Oh okay, that's a tough scenario. 150MB doesn't go too far. The only way I know to disable the connection is to use Airplane Mode, but the problem is that will also disable your ability to receive a phone call. So for what you are trying to do I think the answer is no. Hope this helps.
@infamoustechblog Ah...well, that sucks. Because I really would like a smart phone that isn't a blackberry (I don't like their keypads at all, too small even for me), but I don't want to go above 150 MB and start paying up...I guess the only thing to do is try and convince my parents to let me go unlimited, and just pay the other $15 (since I assume unlimited is $30?). Thank you!
@JingerSK I have the $15 plan also and I'm not about to pay 30 bucks a month for internet. I turn off and on the internet when ever I need it and I have never went over the 150 MB. The phone gives you an option if you don't want to use the internet all the time.

look at the battery life from the beginning of the video to the end of the video (top right corner of phone).....it has already been partly drained....anyway nice review!
@FromEmerica Yes, the incredible has a YouTube app that allows for direct upload as long as you are on a wi-fi connection. Check out my LG Ally unboxing video. That was done with the Incredible and uploaded directly to YouTube.
@izgil82 This phone will definitely cover your messaging needs. The Incredible supports multiple email accounts (Gmail, POP/IMAP E-Mail, MS Exchange). Also there are all-in-one apps that allow you to use the common instant messaging services (Aim, Yahoo, MSN).
@infamoustechblog No problem. These are the reviews to watch, in depth, not someone with an annoying voice or sound like they are reading off a script. I like to hear peoples opinions not just the statistical data, we can get that on the VZ site. I have watched a lot of them for this phone and this is the one im going to get.
@kingxsut2 You won't be disappointed. I've had mine for a couple weeks, and it's hands down the best phone I've used. I know there are other hot phones on the horizon, but this is the best phone available on the best network. Let me know how you like yours.

I've posted this comment on numerous Incredible reviews, but I haven't gotten an answer:
Is this a phone that is constantly connected to the internet? If it is, is there a way to disconnect, and connect only when wanted/needed?

@infamoustechblog No, my data plan is not unlimited. I'm only on 150MB, to save some money in comparison to unlimited plan.
