Capuano is PRECISELY correct. The current economic problems are DIRECTLY the result of large corporations and large banks involvement with these highly risky gambles with the US economy. What ALLOWED this to happen was the REVERSAL of the FDR laws against speculation which was done by Republican Senator Phil Gramm as part of REAGANOMICS. Gramm's wife, Wendy, was making a MILLION A YEAR as an ENRON director. Republicans called it business reform, the rest of us call it CRIMINAL.
