  • A friend who used to have a kid at this kindergarten told me that the kid in the vid has somehow stopped talking at age 5 because he was learning so much so fast including music and foreign languages. I don't know if it's true, but it would be so sad if it were.

  • The same kid is now 5.5 yrs old and he is now reading Da Xue. Finish watching this new VDO and decide for yourself whether educating him this way retarded his talking or robbed his childhood. I feel sorry for all those who has been misled into not teaching children when they enjoy learning most :(

  • awesome video...

    jesus saves

  • I am inspired very much! thank you for posting this!

  • The child is my son and trust me that he is happy, articulate, full of mischief, confident, funny....just like any other kid. Where he differs is that he has been reading all things around him and enjoys reading with his 14 and 12 years old brothers.

Parents each need to select what is the best for their children in accordance with their resources, beliefs, ability, etc.

There is really no right or wrong. This VDO was meant to arose awareness.

  • What kind of school is that anyway?? I live in Europe and it would NEVER be like that. Surely it´s not that poor little babys mother that had trained...and he can´t even pronouns the english words correctly. Please don´t push him to hard, or sorry ... you´re already doing it! I don´t think that the baby is smart, sure he is very cute but you cant just push him like this! Even the servant is invoulded in this...

THAT LITTLE FELLOW WILL NOT LIKE U!

  • which part of EU do you live in? I live in Czech Republic, and there are lots of international schools for early development being opened now,. For ex, Montessori INternational school,. I've witnessed with my own eyes how babies were developing being able to speak, read, think at an early stage. Their abilites to think and to memorize things are powerful indeed. and it doesn't have to be done the way it is done in schools for older pupils.

  • so poor and pity baby, because it's so young. It's not good to push too much thing for the baby. poor ...............poor

  • go read a book call "einstein never used flash cards" then you know this might actually be harmful to your child!

  • It's cool that he can read. My son started to blend sound sound @ 2.5 years old. He cac read simple words now and some of the sight words. He will only read once in a blue moon, because most of his time was playing trains, and watching TV. He's turning 4 and he just stareted writing words on his own. But basically words about the trains that he liked. He will draw a train and write the name of it...

  • This is a torture. I can see how children are brutally treated in Hong Kong. By knowing the vocab earlier in age, does it make him a genius?

Is it what he wants to be? or is it just what the parents want him to be?

Retarded parents' line of thought. Amazed to find out that people are just amazed by that.

  • Oh, c'mon! Nobody is torturing this baby or taking the childhood from him! The parents (or whoever teaches him) are doing a great job in fact! Kids really, really enjoy learning! the only thing is that it should be done in a funny, playfull way appropriate for this age. If you saw the whole process of learning how it started, you would think different.

  • poor baby

  • How about some play time for this poor little guy!

  • This little guy has lots of playtime. The common perception is that learning is NOT play. This is the biggest mistake that a parent can make. Parents must understand that children loves to learn but NOT forced to learn. If you teacher is joyful and learning is fun, a child under 6 can learn things never thought possible at their age.

PARENTS NEED TO UNDERSTAND EDUCATION IN A NEW LIGHT :)

  • I myself teach my son at home. I'm doing this for his well being so when it's thought in school he would not be overwhelmed when he starts school. this will also help him to adapt a learning pattern at a early age. I'm proud of him and since I've been teaching him it is now taking him less time to learn something new.....at the same time he is spoiled with toys that has overcrowded my home, as long as ur child's life is not only limited to educ. I think ur doing a great job.

  • Amazing !

  • Poor kid is what i was thinking

  • poor kid

  • It doesn't look like he WANTED that. If a let's say 3 years old wants to learn ho to read you teach them, but this is not good this is taking his childhood from him

  • Amazing !

  • Pronunciation will be improved as when the child gets older. It is a biological limitation. This VDO was taken when he was two. He is now three and has improved since then. :)

  • his english pronunciation is pretty bad. sorry.
