  • The people of Iowa must be comprised of a majority of morons to support or listen to a lard ass buffoon like this jesus freak.

    .....

I am a straight man with sons who are straight & it doesn't bother or scare us if gays get married or not. I truly believe that men who feel like this Deace fellow feel share a common denominator with the likes of Ted Haggard and Senator Craig. They are closet homosexuals who hate what they are & end up bashing homosexuals due to their confusion and guilt.

  • this kind of mentality can (and did) result in a pink slip. Always be suspicious of folk who build a "career" on prying into (and then moralizing about) other folks' private lives. The listeners of WHO finally said in a collective way that their 3 hours of drive time listening could be better spent than by listening to this pea-brain.

  • Wow, what a bigoted moron.

  • What "Law" are they enforcing? The Defense of Marriage Act is still the "Law". This court's "Opinion" is binding only on those who were in the court room that day. Herb Titus, one of the best legal minds in the country, said the Iowa Supreme court did not have the authority to expand their opinions to the other 99 counties in Iowa. No matter how you feel about this issue, would you want a court to have that much power? Your free speech rights might be next, or maybe the right to own a gun.

  • I don't blame him for being mad at the judicial system for circumventing the legislative system. I was illegal.

  • So it's illegal for the supreme court to rule that something is unconstitutional? Good luck in 9th grade government.

  • Steve is not Rebub or Dem...at some point please give an example where he is Repub?...common sense should be your first option......

  • I am a republican but people like Steve Deace IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH REPUBLICANS TODAY.... Republican ideals like small government , fiscal and personal responsibility are fantastic but leave the social matters out of it. It makes us look like fools. We would be a better state without your joke of a radio program.

  • What about non-monotheistic religions, such as mine, 'eh Steve? Incidentally, polytheists far out-way monotheists in a global study that was performed a few years back (last I heard, anyway).

  • WHO Radio used to be fairly balanced back in the day. There was debate and civil discussion, with right and left hosts. Ever since it was swallowed by Clear Channel it's gone straight into Rush's bowels. It's now all white, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, ultra-conservative, borderline nazi propaganda, and caters to that certain kind of extra crispy brand of xtian.

  • This guy seems to be quite the authority in nonexistent places. Tell us about more about make-believe land, Steve. Are there unicorns and pixie dust?

  • You'll WISH it was make-believe!

  • This Whacko is an embarrassment to the city of Des Moines and the state of Iowa.

  • See you Hell Steve! Why is it the most fervent anti-gay proponents are closet cases?

  • Just more of the same rabble rabble from Iowa's most extreme extremist. Please come back to reality, Mr Deece, before it's too late. Our prayers can only go so far....

  • I wonder if he has even read Dante's Inferno...

This guy is nuts. Simply upholding the law is obviously not a sin... and no one is going to hell for that.

The more he preaches, the more he looks like a complete fool. I bet that twenty years from now, many will look back on him in complete disbelief.

  • @pvcoasterguy The Defense of Marriage act is the law and it is still code. You can look it up.

  • Because marriage is 100% about sex. Especially gay marriage. Right.

  • He's on weekdays 4-7pm. Along with Jan mickelson 9-11:30 am, they broadcast amazingly right-wing programming, guised as a "talk-show".

Only those they agree with talk there.

We should do regular crashes to these shows and call them up!

  • Another "Christian "using fear tactics to pave their way. WHO what is with your number of gay-bashing broadcasters? Get a life and let live!

  • What a fuckhead. Isn't this the same guy who said Sen. McCoy couldn't be a Christian because he's gay?

  • Wow. What a twisted freak. He is truly a sad pathetic being.

  • Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brothers eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ~Matthew 7:1-3

  • Deace is certainly entitled to his opinion, and I will fight fervently for his right to express that opinion, even as I completely disagree with it. I'm more concerned with his mixing of scripture with dramatic literature (such as Dante's inferno) in order to make a case about a place that he neither knows of personally, nor knows whether the Christian God will send the county recorders there for doing their job.

  • @bitterfly77 The recorders swore to uphold the constitution of iowa, not the judges opinions. The judges have the right to send the law back to the legislature because it is unconstitutional, The judges do not have the right to make law.

  • I think that if WHO Radio needs to advertise for new announcers, they should explicitly request, "only narrow minded, moronic, bigots need apply."
