  • Every human being has traces of radiation in their system, even babies. No one is an exception and it is breathed in regular air every day. The more you cry about this stupid shit the more of our rights and freedoms will be taken away you fucking nazi scum-bags.

  • Expand it to include every state and everywhere. You just can't smoke without it affecting other people and their right not to inhale that nasty toxic filthy stuff. It comes from the car in front of you, the tenant downstairs, the smoker that was standing in front of a store as you tried to get a breath of air before going in, etc. Please BAN smoking EVERYWHERE.

  • Let people do what they want its there money going into those cigarettes not yours so why would people care? Its there choice to smoke.

  • Fuck you bloomberg

  • to fuckery with smokers.

  • I don't care what you say anymore this is my life

Go ahead with your own life leave me alone

  • Thanks for sharing CBS News

  • "I GOTTA STEER MY STROLLER BLAH BLAH BLAH" SHUT THE FUCK UP, you NAZI CUNT!

  • RIGHTS FROM EVERYDAY AMERICANS WHO CHOOSE TO SMOKE OR USE TOBBACCO PRODUCTS. THEY WANT IT BOTH WAYS WHILE AMERICANS GET IT IN THE REAR! WE NEED A REVOLUTION IN THIS COUNTRY TO RUN OUT THE BLOOMBERGS AND OBAMAS WHO WISH TO DESTROY THE RIGHTS OF EVERYTHING AMERICANS HOLD DEAR! THIS IS NOTHING BUT A CLEAR SCAM ON HARD WORKING AMERICANS!

  • @VirgilB01 SORRY DUMBFUCK! This has nothing to do with OBAMA! Nice STRAWMAN argument, DUMBFUCK.

  • NEW YORK AND THE REST OF THIS COUNTRY IS BECOMING A POLICE STATE. SMOKING HAS ALREADY BEEN BANNED IN MANY PUBLIC PLACES, OFFICES, RESTARAUNTS, AIRPORTS, ETC. NOW THIS WONDERFUL FAR-LEFTIST LOON BLOOMBERG (A EX-SMOKER) WANTS TO TAKE THE MATTER FURTHER BY BANNING SMOKING OUTDOORS, AND WHAT'S NEXT YOUR HOME,CAR? THIS IS A CLEAR VIOLATION OF PEOPLE'S RIGHTS! THE SAME POLITICIANS WILL NOT BAN CIGARETTES OR TOBACCO BECAUSE OF THE MONEY FROM TAXES THAT ARE MADE, AND AT THE SAME TIME WANT TO DENY-

  • ok its not right to ban smoking outside but dont smoke alot of it I think they are trying to let people not to quick but learn to smoke less people are smoking like a carton a day just try to smoke have or even 1/4 thats all they are trying to do and I bet if everyne do that they might take it off and we be smoking less thats all they are trying to do but hey you guys that smoking just have to share there are people that cant breathe sometimes and cnt smoke around them

  • The only thing is to get this rabid mayor the hell out of office along with all his ass kissers, then get someone in there who will bring back the better days for New York City ... a clean sweep.

  • ....that line the streets of every borough in the summer and taxis, food carts and mentally ill pedestrians from using your new bike lanes. Oh and please stop closing hospitals and firehouses. Or maybe you'd prefer to ban all hospitals and firehouses? Please take yourself down a notch. You and Trump. Thanks.

    Sincerely,

An Ex-Native New Yorker Who Thinks Tornados Are Less Insane Than New York

P.S. Giuliani was a much better mayor.

  • Dear Mayor Bloomberg,

Why are you such a flaming asshole? You are mayor, not king and you can not ban smoking outdoors because some (really pretentious and annoying) people don't like the smell. No one likes the smell of bum urination on the walls of our subway stations either, yet you haven't banned that yet. Is that because you like bum pee? Also, if you ban smoking in public areas I suggest you also ban the perpetual foul, steaming heaps of garbage ...

  • How in the Hell is this kind of legislation even remotely legal?! I respect that some people don't want to be around smoke, but that doesn't give anyone the right to tell me what I can or cannot do when I'm OUT--FUCKING--SIDE!!! Get over yourselves, people! I'm not trying to make you smoke; so stop trying to make me quit! Mind your own fucking business and accept that every person has their own mind and needs to choose for themselves whether or not they want to smoke--it's not up to you!

  • @NCBikerBoy - WELL SAID. GIVE EM HELL!

  • @VirgilB01 SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU REDNECK PIECE OF SHIT.

  • @electronicoffee - You sad delusional peice of excrement, you call me a "redneck" and other infantile names while you try to justify such bias for a sitting president and a administration who enjoys keeping the likes of you in the dark. You don't even know who I am, or yourself for that matter do you? AND THAT'S THE WAY THEY LIKE IT, IT'S ALL PART OF THE PLAN!. It is amazing to me how such so-called "Americans" who once claim to support such "rights" and "freedoms for others, now are willing to-

  • help to take such freedoms away simply because of something they don't like! This is not about politics or "strawmen" IT'S ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOMS - YOURS AND MINE! AND ONCE THEY DESTROY PEOPLE LIKE ME, YOU'RE NEXT! Do you ever wonder why unemployment is still at 9%? Or why gas prices are at $4.00 a gal? etc. BECAUSE THEY LIKE IT THAT WAY IN THEIR WORLD, AND YOU'RE NOT PART OF IT! OR ANYONE ELSE REGUARDLESS OF POLITICAL CHOICE WHO STANDS UP FOR THE FREEDOM OF OTHERS! So I suggest that you-

  • WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND YOU AND STOP HURTING OTHER AMERICANS WHO ARE NOT BOTHERING YOU, OR ELSE GO AWAY! BECAUSE ANYONE WHO STANDS UP FOR SUCH BULLSHIT DON'T DESERVE TO BE CONSIDERED A AMERICAN! Period.

  • @VirgilB01 As a non-smoker, i think that banning smoking indoors is a great thing simply because most ppl who dont smoke dont wana smell cigarettes. as u know, when ur indoors, the air doesnt circulate as well as it does out doors. as a result, the cigarette smell stays inside. 2nd hand smoke causes lung cancer quicker than if u were to smoke the cigarette else where. HOWEVER, i think that banning smoking outdoors is a bit too much. government needs to know when to stay outa ppls business.

  • @alex45598 - Begrudgingly, smokers have replied to the rules from smoking indoors and forced smokers outside and now such anti-smoking groups want to eliminate outside smoking by using the "second hand smoke" nonsense. There is no study that anyone has died or recieved cancer from second hand smoke indoors or out. These and many other lies have been made up by the American Cancer Assoc. and other anti- tobbacco groups who have now become political extremists wherein before the ACA was never-

  • and has never been a political force of any kind. This all started during the Clinton Administration who forced tobacco companies to pay damages to cancer victims for smoking and for years prior the Govt. took contributions from lobbyists from big tobacco with no penalties whatsoever. Years ago, you had designated smoking areas in public buildings, airports, airplanes, etc. And nobody complained. I remember as a kid visiting the doctor's office, the doctor smoked, and in school the principal-

  • smoked!

  • @alex45598 cancer does not need a reason it happens

  • @TerryMMA85 So those people that get lung cancer are just having bad luck????? It has nothing to do with smoking at all????

If every American could be like you, I could make a huge fortune LMAO

It's too bad that I live in this country, and do not want to get lung cancer. Otherwise, I would love to sell tobacco to morons like you. You're every corporation's dream.

  • @ttiiyy Corporations are evil!

  • @TerryMMA85 Some food companies always complain about the American government's tough restrictions on the chemicals that are used in the foods.

Applying your logic, all these chemicals that could cause cancer should be legalized again ;) That will help corporations save lots and lots of money.

  • @VirgilB01 smokers arent considered to be american? the fuck are you talking about?

  • @RLhockey203 - Who said smokers were not American? Smokers have rights like everyone else. I sure didn't.

  • @VirgilB01 oh i thought when you said stop hurting americans i thought you were one of those second hand smoke people

  • @RLhockey203 - No, absolutely not. New York is hurting those who smoke by banning smoking outside which in my opinion is insane. The outrageous non-smokers are claiming second hand smoke is killing them outside which is pure nonsense. There is no way to test such a claim, even indoors. Smokers who have followed the rules have been pushed outside of public areas. Now they are being told you can't smoke outside or in your home. Outrageous!

  • @VirgilB01 I agree, I hate your habit, but you know what? Outside is fine. I'm just against you smoking indoors.

  • Effective immediately, farting in outdoor public areas is illegal. The smell offends me and those around me; the noise is irritating--as well as the laughter that often accompanies such outbursts. The chemical composition of human flatulence--the primary component of which is methane--is corrosive and explosive, it adheres to clothing and lingers. While I'm at it, I'm also imposing a ban against the wearing of the color red in any public area--just because I don't like it. That is all...

  • @NCBikerBoy hahaha!!!! as an ex New Yorker, what I always complain about is the really annoying peopel who get offended by the smell of smoke anywhere near them, it's like how do their noses sense tobacco smoke but not the bum pee/crap in the subway or the decomposing garbage that is so prevalent on the streets in summer?? How the shit are you more scared of an occasional waft of tobacco smoke than of the massive and inescapable exhaust fumes you breathe in on the streets wtf???

  • Let's ban cars from entering New York City because their exhaust fumes are icky. and hazardous to my health since that's what I want to believe with no scientific evidence to back it up. Hey Bloomberg, get on that will you?

  • I'd stop smoking but i don't wanna be grouped in with these faggy non-smokers.

  • Would you honestly give up your right to do something, in a PUBLIC area? or is this a matter of, hey it doesn't effect me syndrome? Put yourself in the shoes of the people who this effects, and don't DON'T be self conscious enough to say well " I'd learn to quit or whatever " cause you'd feel like you'd be forced to do something you didn't want to. Might as well start putting up the " No smokers allowed at this water fountain " signs, and get it over with.

  • Honestly I was being a jerk earlier, but lets be serious here. Its not honestly about the smoking, If you honestly think about it. Lets put this into " What ifs " say you had something you wanted to do. Yes we CHOOSE to do it. Say you choose to use your IPHONE ( which obviously most of you do. ) Yet it was found that it could radiate a health problem for others. They put a ban on it, would you consider stopping? Even if they said its not bad out in the open?

  • @Alteredvalek Huh? All that matters is whether or not science can prove that on average, a smoker is putting the health of others around them (for very small periods of time *rolls eyes*) in jeopardy (to the point of being more endangernig than other outdoor risks like vehicle exhaust and chemical pollutants). If they can not, then they have NO FUCKING RIGHT TO DO THIS AND THIS LAW WOULD MERIT SERIOUS PROTEST ON PRINCIPLE.

  • @ariannahiggins Science needs to show lots of clear evidence and double blind studies showing reasonably strong evidence of this. Nothing like that kind of evidence exists; out Mayor-King is just being an asshole for the fun of it. I'm not proud of the reputation Bloomberg and Trump are giving NYC right now.. *sigh*

  • Send that fucking mayor to Israel where he belongs, maybe he can clean up that fucking place, I will continue to smoke where ever I choose in any park or any beach, this just proves that these city officials haven't anything better but to fuck us New Yorkers up the ass, I say FUCK them and we should have a massive protest with smokers in all parks and beach areas, show these pricks we won't take it.

  • @parrot0051 This is one of a long line of changes to the city that are sickening..this trend is why old-school New Yorkers like Patti Smith say that NYC is no longer a haven for 'the young artist'..the doucheyness factyor of this city is consistently going up..this is why people are hating on rich privileged, incredibly arrogant transplants moving in..I totally hear them

  • cigarettes are for faggots. i live in new york, the only people i see smoking are 13 year old freshman asian kids and little white girls that don't inhale the smoke and take microscopic hits walking down the street beside their friends

  • Land of the free home of the slaves, when you need permission from the government just to draw breath what you gonna do then? Bitch and whine and then watch more T.V. as usual. Smoking is for idiots anyway, but nobody has the right to stop you on public land.

  • GOOD! Now maybe public parks won't be littered with the butts of "the choices you make!" And beaches will stop smelling like a firey patch of ass!

    Rock on Public Legislation!

  • Yes' Master! I'll go into my designated area, away from all you " clean and good " peoples. Maybe you want us to go to the back of the bus also. PUBLIC a of, relating to, or affecting all the people or the whole area of a nation or state public law ( Unless your a smoker)

  • Next thing to be coming.... Martial Law!! Woo hoo!!! Some people might be happy with this new smoking ban but if you think about it, your rights and freedom are slowly going away people.. The shit will be going down!

  • @BootCampWuTang Yes their using propoganda to distract us as they slowly take away our rights and turn us into slaves. then comes tyranny and facism. Then one day someone will stand and make another civil rights march etc. This is history repeating itself within each generation, as evil returns in a new disguise.

It all started when they illegalized arms for citizens, it left us defenseless against our worst enemy. AKA the government and the police. Power leads to corruption

  • i am NOT for any kind of smoking; however i just think it is somewhat excessive, though. i mean if that's the case, let's ban also carbon monoxide poisoning from all the millions of cars around the country which are far more disastrous to health.

  • They should ban cig companies from selling tabacco instead of trying to take it out on the people instead. But still legalize marijuana, its a real healing plant and its good to eat!

  • ban cigs legalize marijuana!

  • Every smoker now knows where to empty their ashtrays.

  • If it is so freakin bad, then outlaw it completely. Oh wait, then they would lose billions of $'s in tax revenue.

  • Might as well ban driving while you're at it lot's of toxic fumes coming out of those tail pipes. Infact let's just get it over with and ban everything. I say if the government wants to control everything lets let them. Let's spit on the graves of men and women who died so we could have the last few rights we have left.

  • Who gives a fuck, you should be thankful for the government for hindering your ability to inhale toxic fumes.

  • we should do this in australia

  • Fucking pathetic. That Statue of Liberty has a torch for a reason. People should be able to smoke wherever they please. Bloomberg is a hypocritical piece of scum shit and you New Yorkers bow down to his every need and suck his cock. Unreal. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

  • @CertifiedGooner729 Your rights to smoke ends where mine starts. It would be inconsiderate for the likes of you to smoke in public at others' expense. If you want to smoke, smoke it in your home instead. :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Blackops981 Do you think vehicle exhaust should be banned too? I think I have a right to be free from vehicle exhaust. It's actually worse than cigarette smoke and I think they stink even worse. I believe it is rather unconstitutional that vehicle exhaust pollutes the air I breath. I just may write to Bloomberg on this.

  • @CertifiedGooner729 Good point, but let me ask you a question. Do you need vehicles on a daily basis to travel from point A to point B? I believe you do. However, do you need to smoke cigarettes? Is it really a necessity for each and everyone of us to smoke cigarettes? I believe not. The advantages of automobiles clearly outweigh its potential dangers but I do not see that in smoking cigarettes. Not only its detrimental to one's health, it is also addictive.

  • @Blackops981 so fucking what? its our fucking choice!

  • @swedenrockrules Then choose to do it where those who don't choose to smell it won't have to, say er YOUR OWN FRICKIN HOUSE!!! Selfish morons. Yall had this coming!

  • @swedenrockrules I'm not saying that you are prohibited to smoke. Smoke in your house if you must, or at least in a designated smoking area - not in the public. You do not exercise your right to smoke in public at other's expense. So if you insist that it's your choice to smoke in public, have you ever thought of the people you are putting at risk of developing diseases and ailments? How would you feel if I were to tell you that I have influenza and then cough right in front of you?

  • @Blackops981 So if my smoking under a tree in Washington Square Park is annoying and *dangerous* to others, then here's what: Cussing someone out often causes fights, which are *dangerous* to health, too. It also causes my blood pressure to go up *again, dangerous to health* when I have to listen to people yapping on cell phones (and frequently cussing, as well), while standing in any line. Ban it and fine it BIG. No cell phones in ANY LINE INDOORS OR OUT!

  • @YosupMofo keep your composure bro. cigarette smoke is physically dangerous. mental weakness is too i guess

  • @YosupMofo I don't see how smoking correlates to physical assault and cursing. In that case, the aggressor is usually at fault and sometimes both parties are deemed wrongful.

  • @swedenrockrules Then CHOOSE to do it where it doesn't disturb others! I could easily dump all my dirty toilet paper on your door step or in a public park! Should that be cool too? I'm CHOOSING to do it!

  • @ConWenk no, then you would die, besides that's illegal, smoking isn't, not that it would matter

  • Jst make cigarrettes illegal no one even wants to smoke they just feel like they have to.

  • You'll be free to inhale the carbon monoxide, construction dust, rotting trash and all the other smells of a crowded city. Mayor Moneybags again being "Mister Mom" instead of dealing with the more pressing NYC issues, as you were supposed to as part of your "Give me a 3rd term because only I know whats best for you!". Fuck You, Bloomberg!

  • it will be something else next, that's what i keep telling people as a smoker...it's called oppression by majority...they can get away with doing this b/c most people in fact don't smoke.......it's ridiculous....and they're no better than crack dealers....they know people need it....so they can just charge as much as they want virtually as far as the tax go..in Cleveland we smokers paid for a stadium we can't smoke in

  • So much for the land of the free. This sucks, what next?. Maybe they will tell us what food we can eat or clothes we can wear. America has become a fascist nation. Today it's smokers tomorrow it will be some other group. Wake up America.

  • Never Liked Smoking Never Will!

    It Killes You!

  • @Dclaws1000 good for you fag

  • @zumis1011 LOL! You Fail! FAG!
