Hi, just to get this clear with redsnow: You need 0.6.9b5 to unlock to a 4.2.1, once unlocked you need to upgrade to another redsnow- 0.6.9b6, when doing this battery dranage thing?

@kylezo Do not activate it through redsnow, use the actual sim to activate, and then unlock with ultrasn0w, there will be no battery drain, and they can use any sim card

For anyone concerned about how to do this with the new version of SAM, the settings are pretty much already set for you. if the "Enabled" switch is on, and the Method is set to "auto-detect", then open up iTunes, and plug in the phone. It will automatically activate your iPhone. After activation, I just turned off the "Enabled" switch in SAM. You could probably uninstall SAM if you want, but don't bother, just turn it off, and you'll still have it if you ever need it again.
