Will was winning the race for 85% of the race. Up until the 4 or something full course yellows one after another. I think its a pretty big split, not down the middle or anything that he did or didn't block.

My biggest disappointment in this race was Car 78. I was cheering for her pretty hard. And she was doing so well, even though the top 5 was slowly pulling away, she was also pulling away from 7th place.

@riobabilonia There are rules for blocking, even in F1 (actually ESPECIALLY in F1). IRL actually seems to be taking a lot from F1 this year (Push-to-pass, tire formulas, blocking rules). It's generally good, but I think they went a little overboard with this call. Too bad Helio didn't just make the drive-through. At least he would've gotten some points.

@UncleDeluxe I guess you´re right, my comment was made before the last F1 race, when Schumacher block Barrichello and was punished for that...I miss the old times, racers would race to death(Senna, Prost, Mansell, Piquet etc...), there were rules but rule number one was:"Rules are made to be broken"....

@riobabilonia I agree, seems officials are over-officiating (so to speak) lately. F1 used to practically be a bloodsport. Only thing I can think of is that the rule is meant to keep cars from jumping tires around corners which can lead to some bad crashes. Dunno, I'd love to hear the reason for that rule. Maybe it's a rule meant more for tracks that aren't so wide.

@BackBurner12 You are right that Helio never changed his line, but the IRL defines blocking as "the leader taking the inside line into the corner." So Helio is in the wrong according to the letter of the law, but the track width of Edmonton makes the law unjust.
