i personally feel that european players have more talent whilst chinese have more practice. so without practice chinese will definitely not be as gd, while for europeans most play dota as a hobby and so do not play as much but there are still many good teams in europe even though might not be as good as chinese.

Some players from scythe were from the original Singapore team that won ESWC 08 so their skill levels are unquestionable. The only reason they are the underdogs is because Singapore players generally do not have sponsers and so Singaporean players do not take part in much international tournaments. Hence they are not as famous as other players/teams from other countries despite their skills being on par or even better than them
