Dude you need alternator to be changed :)) or may be try a capacitor but i think you really need new alternator of 200 Amp

@legomyevan24 yeah you do, i tried a 3000rms setup but it was too much for my alternator so I went back to 1200RMS setup, dude if you want these bad boys to sound at best jsut make a new box Ported at 38 hz and 2.5 cubic feet each sub chamber, you dont have to spend money couz any car is good for 1200RMS amp to play with an extra battery and capacitor i know capacitor is bull shit but what it will do is just keep enough power for your amp, I hope you got my point, Be SMART and spend money crazy

I got the 2005 L5 with a 1200watt Orion amp, in a sealed box. I'm looking to add power to it, would getting a ported/vented box do the trick??? Or get that, add a cap and a another small amp for more power??? I'm seeing that people that had that good high/low bass pound got atleast 1600 watts

@midweststyle if you just have one L5 then 1200 watts is good..dont wanna blow it! but if you have 2 L5s then yes, go ahead and get another amp....but either way..for more power...get a PORTED box!

@lccs187 no it wouldnt matter...as long as its set at the same ohms...id rather save up and get the same 2 speakers so it would look better and you wouldnt have to worry about them getting outta sync

should i buy the kicker l5 as 2 subs alone or get them already mounted in the kicker enclosure? if i get them in the kicker enclosure i dont have to worry about finging an enclosure but if i buy then as subs alone i will get an enclosure. which one will sound better?

get the subs alone...because you can do so much better then the kicker eclosure....i had that type of box for mine and it was falling apart because so much power....get a custom made box at a local audio shop...my box ran me around 300$ and thats ported
