I personally have been watching Dr Zakir Naik's videos for sometime now and would have to agree that for Daw'ah purposes, (Comparing the scriptures) is simply a genius. Regarding the Fiqh and Hadith, would agree that he has made some mistakes. But in general his good compared to the bad is 99-1, also it was a live speech and he could have possibly just made a mistake.
I don't think this gentleman can say 'don't look at what the followers did' because the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) left clear and unequivocal statements about the importance of his ahl ul bayt of whom Imam al-Hussain was one (and the last of the people of the cloak...ahl ul kisa') and whose unfortunate martyrdom he had prophesised. The fact is that the right followers should have been obeyed. Dr. Zakir Naik is ultimately a preacher and uses whatever means necessary but this time he was clearly wrong.

I personally have been watching Dr Zakir Naik's videos for sometime now and would have to agree that for Daw'ah purposes, (Comparing the scriptures) is simply a genius. Regarding the Fiqh and Hadith, would agree that he has made some mistakes. But in general his good compared to the bad is 99-1, also it was a live speech and he could have possibly just made a mistake.

I don't think this gentleman can say 'don't look at what the followers did' because the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) left clear and unequivocal statements about the importance of his ahl ul bayt of whom Imam al-Hussain was one (and the last of the people of the cloak...ahl ul kisa') and whose unfortunate martyrdom he had prophesised. The fact is that the right followers should have been obeyed. Dr. Zakir Naik is ultimately a preacher and uses whatever means necessary but this time he was clearly wrong.

So I don't expect him to be perfect, and I believe no one else should. He has contributed to Islam in many ways and he should be credited for it. Zakir Naik has a degree in medicine, he does not have a thorough learning and training in Islamic subjects. He is absolutely WRONG in his saying about the LASHKAR that went to QASTANTANIA. Naik should at least study the authentic sources of history of Islam. Yazid did not go with that LASHKAR to whom, there is an allusion in HADITH. Also, Naik must study the collection of Hadith and SEAR to know the status of IMAM HASSAIN and his family. It is a pity that Naik has no knowledge of all that.
