  • The opposition to the kjv would like to drown the issue in intellectual jargon; but only this proof is needed. Do the modern Bibles diminish the deity of Christ? Answer: Yes. Would this be the work of God or Satan? Answer: Satan. There is no way to answer this logic except through a muddying of the waters. The real issue here is always avoided. The translations are all so different they cannot all be Gods word. I'll stick with the tried and true; the Christ honoring KJV.

  • 3:49...wow!...things starts to get very tense...thanks for posting this vid and may the precious Blood of YAHshua protect our sister Gail...may the Truth of God wake up the world!

  • @kingpins9 You're absolutely right!! The Holy Bible (KJV) is ALL that we EVER need.

  • How sad a thrice divorced liar (who has yet to own up to lying) is allowed to continue her lies. Too bad she can't read the manuscipt evidence. If she did, she'd that there was some ADDING to the TR. Thank God, she has been shown to be a deceiver.

  • youtube search History of English Language & Bible 1/2

This episode shows the variations in the SPOKEN word before it became an official written ... Enjoy

  • The KJV / Amplified paralell bible is good.

  • Wow, being married three times makes you unqualified to study Bible versions? What logic!

  • Keep the KJV and get a Strongs its all you need

Throw the rest in the garbage.

BTW you wouldnt believe my doctrine.

  • Strong's has corrupted words also. All you really need is the KJV. Just wanted you to know ! ;)

  • You don't even need to get a Strong's. Just ask God! If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

    (James 1:5)

  • Gail is a victim of what I call surface theology. Some one with strong intellect who bases everything she believes in catagorical truths, that makes sense to her. She wrongly assumes that the word of God is used to persuade some one to the faith. It is not. It is use to teach and correct yes, but not to persuade a potential follower into the faith. Only the Father calls people unto himself. We are nothing more than the caretakers and teachers of the word. We testify by our own walk & experiences

  • You're wrong. The word of God is most definitely used to persuade men to believe in the faith. Jesus told his followers to preach the gospel. It is up to the individual that hears the gospel to choose whether to believe it. Romans 10:17, " So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Acts 17:2, "And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures".

  • Actually no it's not. If you read the scriptures carefully, it says only the Father calls people to himself. Faith is a gift. We are called to preach yes, but that is entirely different than persuasion. The second we try to convince some one through arguments, we hinder the chance for faith to take root.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:11, "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences."

    I rest my case.

  • John 6:44 44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

    I rest my case too.

  • We are to persuade men, but that very persuasion is from God since it is His Word in which the persuasion is based. The Father drams men using men. "And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." Mark 1:17

  • @souldude81 "She wrongly assumes that the word of God is used to persuade some one to the faith. It is not."

Oh really?: "Jphn 20:31 but these are written that YOU MAY BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."

Sounds like persuasion and faith engendering to me.

  • Gail Riplinger's writings are a good example of distortion, twisting the facts.

When she went to Kent State she got a degree in interior decorating.

When she taught for a short time at Kent State, it was in the Home Economics department

Gail Riplinger does not have any advanced degrees in Bible, theology.

She has been married 3 times.

    Gail Anne Riplinger

    Gail Anne Kaleda

    Gail Anne Latessa

    Gail Anne Ludwig

  • The woman at the well in John 4 had been married 4 times and was living with a man (the 5th guy) when she met the Lord yet the Lord didn't dismiss her.

  • Amazing what length you'll go to try to dismiss God's Word.

  • The New Bible Translations are more correct than the old ones and just about everything Gail Riplinger says in her books, videos and audio's is a Lie. Please Don't be deceived by Gail Riplinger. Gail is slamming God's Holy Word in the new translations. For further info on Gail Riplinger please see:

  • what gail has done has painstakingly gone through every word

and syllable of the Bible and found all of the egregious mistakes

your translators did, you need to read about the translators with

their colorful daemonic backgrounds, that you stand behind. what Gail has done for the Christian community will be

appreciated for millions of years, your contribution will be

    forgotten

  • Gail Riplinger books, videos & audio's contains multiple errors, lies, the majority of which are the gross misquoting of other people. In particular, a large portion of the misquoting is of the Bible, B.F. Wescott and F.J.A. Hort. See her divorces and marriages info.

  • Swallowing a camel and choking on a Nat, you're more worried about this woman's personal life , than the fact of if you change one word of this Bible, you're in violation of my father's law, I'd worry more about that and if you stands behind the NIV Bible you will find yourself in the line of the wicked , you will find this hanging about your neck as a portrait of who you are, remember every word you utter will be shouted from the rooftops

  • The user here called thetruthwillfreeyou is the same person as the user truthceo. I have observed their activity and it mirrors the same thing.

Anyway, even the username "thetruthwillfreeyou" is incorrect! The Bible (Jesus) says "the truth WILL SET you free." Physically you will not be free but SPIRITUALLY you will, when you trust CHRIST.

  • Great!Fight the good fight of faith..Go Gail!

  • Fishslab...

My mistake. :) Apologies again. I'm just a dumb college student.

  • Apology accepted. :-)

  • Btw, why are all my comments being deleted? Are you scared what I'm saying is true? Just wondering.

  • uk67,

That has nothing to do with anything here, but thank you for the exhortation. I'd be a liar if I said I didn't struggle with fear of man. Of course, the simple truth is that the KJV is NOT the "original" or authoratative version. It's one of those fanatical views that I can find no reason for holding to.

    Blessings.

  • >Of course, the simple truth is that the KJV is NOT the "original" or authoratative version. It's one of those fanatical views that I can find no reason for holding to.

The traditional text is though. And the Reformation Bibles that spread light after the darkness of Rome's tyranny show by their fruit what they are. The Critical Text versions have fruit that is a little less stellar.

  • TMCalumnus, make sure your professors and fellow students don't see you over here. The fear of man reigns supreme in your circles. We who fear God only don't have such worries and considerations to make. And when one fears only God and not man one is freed up to pursue truth wherever one is led to pursue it.

Fear God and not man, TMCalumnus, it is the beginning of wisdom.

  • I saw everything she said... that's enough for me. Reading her works would be pure torture. Good luck with the videos.

  • I didn't cite anything wrong, but you clearly have a bias (You did post the video after all, right?).

And for the record (although I'm sure you know all this, since you debate so confidently), Aleph and Sinaiticus are the same thing. But, I got a bit of a kick out of your impetuous response. Thanks. :)

  • Ah... perhaps the verse is off. Apologies. In any case, you know which verse I'm referring to. She knows not what she says. :)

  • And do you have proof of that?

I see are you quick to point out errors to others but even when you are in error (and know it) you will not admit it. Your attitude will make it hard for anyone to convince you of the truth.

  • Ok, I'm correcting the Aleph problem.

  • And you don't have a bias? You clearly responded to the video railing Riplinger's scholarship and character perhaps without reading any of her works.

  • She might should study textual criticism. Rom 4:7, "of God through Christ" has poor textual attestation, whereas "of God" is supported by both P46 and Aleph (which, when combined, make that variant almost a surety). Same thing with Eph. 3:14 (P46 plus Aleph,ie. Sinaiticus).

She should read a few books, study a couple of languages, then she might have a clue in talking about these things.

  • You are criticizing Riplinger for poor scholarship, yet you failed to accurately cite her claims and the correct bible verse.

For the record, Romans 4:7 says "Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered."

  • P46 and Aleph are corrupts minority texts.

  • According to what criteria?

  • The majority of the greek manuscripts testify that the correct reading is indeed "of God through Christ".

  • On what basis do you assume the majority is right? The majority of people are lost (Matthew 7:14), so your argument is not even a very good BIBLICAL argument.

  • How many books have you written on the topic?

  • Firstly your search results are inaccurate. The results yield keyword hits on verse headings and notes. Secondly, Riplinger said Lord Jesus Christ. Please use adequate tools for research.

  • GR must think we cannot count. Here is what I found: Christ Jesus KJV 58 NKJV 69 NASB 87 NIV 87 Christ Jesus our Lord KJV 5 NKJV 7 NASB 7 NIV 7 Jesus our Lord KJV 7 NKJV 9 NASB 12 NIV 10 Jesus KJV 942 NKJV 1040 NASB 990 NIV 1276 Christ KJV 537 NKJV 584 NASB 528 NIV 531 Now, which version takes out Christ?
