Sonic is so outdated compared to the Mario games which kept evolving faster. Mario Galaxy 2 is the benchmark to beat for platformers and there isn't really any competitor to come close.

Hey SEGA you want a cool idea how about you make the game harder then classic Sonic The Hedgehog 1,2,3 and CD make DLC similarly to Sonic Knuckles cartridge and make it 4 player simultaneously (Little Big planet and New Super Mario Bros Wii has it so why not you to) and besides Sonic put player 2-4 in the same way Sonic's Sidekicks where introduced for examples player 2 Tails, Player 3 Knuckles and Amy as player 4 oh and put the multiplayer thing local and online.

Also, the developer of this game is not even confrim yet. Sonic Team doesn't make ALL of them (even though there's a good chance they is). It could be Prope for all we know. We have to wait and see.

First of all it's not next gen it's current gen since most of what you can only get are Wii, 360, and PS3 consoles in most places new. And second of all the biggest reason people have a stereotype about Sonic games nowadays is only because of Sonic '06.

SH was good gameplay wise(The storyline was to corny for my liking)

Shadow was... no(Not as bad as 06, but one of the more crappy games in my opinion)

SATSR was fast, but was one of those games that I have an opinion against that many people don't have(Mainly, no control stick)

SATBK was... mixed feelings(Control stick, but slower that SATSR)

SUPS360 was amazing, better in both day and night(In my opinion). It had better speed in day and more than two attacks at night. I do believe that's all the 3D games that count, and no one will read this "Review" XD

Adventure and Adventure 2 were the last great Sonic games. Heroes gets mention due to bringing Metal Sonic back as a psychotic villain. Shadow could've been better if they didn't wuss out for the new rating. Secret Rings and Black Knight slowed him down too much with RPG elements.

Rivals was just an expanded 2P mode.

Chronicles got it right in a way, but had to borrow heavily from the comics to do it.

But meh, whatever. I pretty much stopped caring for critics reviews when it comes to Sonic. If there's a game I'm interested in playing I'll rent the game and judge for myself.
