as far as i've read samsung works only with windows and windows media player. other than that you'll get difficulties..

This used to happen to me. First, make sure you have the latest windows media player. Then, plug the mp3 via USB chord. After that, right click on my computer and click properties. Click hardware and then device manager. If you see a yellow question mark saying S5, click on it and update or repair the drive. Worked for me, hope it works for you!

Thats awesome you got it to work! I had the 2gb k5 and the disc wont work on Vista. So I had to just use wmp. I was so pissed for like 5 minutes trying to install the disc and all that. Haha!

Thinking of comparing this, the iPod Touch and the new Creative Zen xfi but The Xfi is first and the iPod Touch is 2nd and third is S5 but excluding what I just said, they have made good improvements on the S5 compared to their K5.

Usually on the ipod and other players, if you set the time and turn off the player, it will automatically turn on when it's time and wake you up. I'm pretty damn sure it's the same with this one too.

Yeah first of all itouch is 300 and 400 dollars, (without tax). The K5 is like 150, (I got it for 95 dollars off of Amazon). Itunes has to be the most annoying program to use, and there are to many damn restrictions. With the K5 you can use pretty much any program to transfer music. My friend has an itouch, and quite frankly I see no big deal, so it's got a touch screen and internet, so what. Ipods have horrible batteries, they last for 10-12 hours on music alone. The K5 lasts for 24!
