it was a 55 gallon, I tore it down a year ago. At this point it was spectacular. To make it go it had a total water capacity of over 100 gallons. I miss it a lot. It was my second fish tank I ever tried.

nice tank bro but you know what i find funny about tang police, ....if they see a tang in a 55 gallon they're ilke ohhhh your stupid, but if they see them in a 55 gallon with coral....they think its amazing, but also tangs like the purple are skinny and go back and fourth more then side to side, so dosn't really make sense when a 120 gallon is still 4 foot long like a 55 and the tang is fine in that but not a 55
@matthewaikenpie1 Check your nitrates! and learn to drip aclimate for less stress. If your corals are healthy when bought and you have the right lighting then no need to feed it regularly.
@matthewaikenpie1 What type of lighting do you have? What type of water are you using? Any fish that might nip at them? there are lot's of variables that can lead up to not being able to keep corals.
i have a large tang in a 55 gallon with 5 other fish it does fine it dosnt matter on how big the tank is only if its really small like a 30 gl or less then tangs would be sad. If u have a tang in 55 gl its ok you just have to make sure you feed it properly
tangs do fine in 55 you can get a 120 gallon but its the same length as a 55 in most cases and tangs are skinny fish they don't need a lot of room to turn they need 4 foot swimming room soo i say its okay in here

u should really consider having more power heads maybe like 1 more on the other side because those corals might not have enough aeration

i love your tank, how many pounds of live rock is that?
FishCollecter 2 years ago
your tank is way to small to hold a purple tang
strikers11soccer 2 years ago
do you need all of the live rock before you add fish or do you need it all at once?
