*L* right on dude, but to call having amped up 6x9s bass i still have to disagree. those are good for mid range sound and depending on your db is the quality, and like you said you wanted to show a difference right, so if it sounds deep and true, instead of sounding like rubber and weak, if your going to show a difference you need to do it right. It's not worth having a sub that isn't installed right. I know.. Not only can you damage the amp speackers it just is not good for salesmen ship...
