  • Yeah, it's definitely confusing alright. I don't know the chord names exactly either. Since you do, I'm not gonna argue with you cuz I love your lessons and what you do. later.

  • I noticed something about the way Coulton plays this live: When he's leading into the chorus he doesn't just go from F#m to B7 (lyrics: kids grow up & leave us here). Without seeing him play it, my instinct was that he was playing A in between those chords, but he's actually playing Esus4 (x22202) from the B7 position. Then he just moves his index finger to the first fret to play B7. James Taylor used that same move sometimes. Not sure if anyone cares, but that's what I noticed.

  • He does that very change in the chorus, but when I watch the live video, I see that he'll do the F#m to B7. When JoCo plays chords with a 6th string root, he likes to omit the sixth string and play chords like F/C, F#m/C#, and so on. In the instance of the live verse I see him playing F#m/C# to B7. I can see where it could be confusing though.

  • awesome lesson. i was looking for a tab for this song for the longest time. keep playin.
