He was voted chef of the year by GQ magazine, a well-deserved award (I was going to say "honor" but GQ kind of sucks). He is a great ambassador of Spanish food and culture in America. I think Americans know less about Spain than any other major country in Europe; probably because we have had so few Spanish immigrants. As someone told me, Spaniards don't emigrate, se van de puente.
