Diaz was knocked down just before Daley, Daley mounted him and did ground and pound, but the fight wasn't stopped, the same happens to Daley and the fight was stopped. I think the stoppage was a little too soon to be honest, it was a good fight, looked like Diaz was getting the upper hand but 2nd round it could have gone either way. I hope they have a rematch.

dont get me wrong Diaz is a good fighter but that fight could have gone either way in that first round, and when a fighter is on the ground with a few seconds to go unless he is knocked clean out i dont think any fighter would want a fight stopped, the last 3 punches Diaz threw barely hit Daleys body let alone his head. Ive watched enough MMA fights to know that Daley could have gone another round.

3:39 to 4:10 Daley lands maybe 2 dozen strikes give or take and McCarthy does nothing,and rightly so...Later Daley shoves Diaz,loses balance and falls to his back,Diaz lands a few weak shots just out of his range,Daley defends well by pushing with his feet/shifting side to side and blocking with his arms,and McCarthy stops it at the end of the round,RUINING what would have been one of the best fights of the year,if not ever.

This was one of the best jobs ever performed by a ref to not call it earlier when Diaz was rocked but then call it despite seconds on the clock when Daley was out. Big John Mcarthy still the best in the business.

U know diaz got rocked pretty bad, getting dropped and eating shots from the turtle position...im surprised the ref didnt stop it there, but he stopped it when Paul Daley merely toppled over but still managed to establish guard mean while getting punched. Some 1 might argue 1 of Diaz's shots hurt him but at least he didnt get knocked down instantly i would have gave him a little longer to recover.
