@Cena60793 The BNP would be far worse yes, but liberal policies would still be deeply damaging. Whilst i am a supporter of the EU the lib dems would go too far transfering more sovereignty to Brussels and surrendering our currency.

They would seriously weaken our armed forces, put our nuclear arsenal at risk, go way overboard on the silly myth of man made climate change, be soft on criminals and push us towards more politically correctness.

I accept some things that may be considered as "political correctness" are a good thing. For example I think its right that we no longer see the sorts of offensive speech towards minorities or groups on TV shows. That sort of thing is good progress

But political correctness often goes mad. Like trying to do away with Christmas or rename it to avoid causing offense to other religions. or Manchester police having to pay £10,000 compensation for telling a sikh policeman to put a riot helmet on

Such things have gone mad under labour and i just fear than the lib dems who are more left wing would make matters even worse on that front. I hope the conservatives do win the next election and i think they will take good action on many of theese things.

With such change hopefully we will see a decline in support for the disgusting BNP.

They are separatists. I respect the SNPs right to want independence although everything and anything within the law to defeat them and secure the union must be done.

We do need to clean up British politics. I would recommend parliament be dissolved for a period of 1 year and restore absolute rule by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

As sovereign she could get this country back on the correct path very quickly without the need for politics which always gets in the way of governing a country dont you think?

Probably very little. I don't really see the reasoning behind the LD's strategy of attacking the monarchy which is still very popular.

I will probably still vote LD at the gen election, but I can't see this being a particularly big votewinner.

@FlippyD In truth Clegg did not attack the monarchy, just misused the monarchy in an attack on labour which is indeed bad. Although this is not a unexpected, Mr Cleggs party has quite a few republicans who would love to see the monarchy abolished despite the people being against it. They know best!

@FlippyD Whilst i support democracy it is clear the current bunch are not doing enough to reform things and bring about change this country needs.

I trust our Queen, she has dedicated her hole life to serving the British people, she would do the right thing and there are millions who would stand behind her and support and defend her.

Of course it will not happen, sadly we are too liberal for such things these days but it would be a quick way to get the change we need.

The Queen's speech is always a pointless waste of time and money - how much does it cost the taxpayer?

The PM could do this much quicker and at no extra cost.

These traditions just serve to emphasise how out of date and pointless the political system is.

You know we could save a hell of alot of money if we bring back hanging and flogging, but we appease the liberals on these things. Let us keep our monarchy and these traditional ceremonies!

@fatredbird Fatred if we restored a system of absolute monarchy you can be sure that the Queens speech would have a huge positive impact on the economy and be able to sort the country out.

The Queen would command what is to happen and it happens. We would make a lot of progress and speed the process of government up very well.

Many things about our politics need cleaning up, the trouble is that is less important than sorting out the mess the country is in. The lib dems have some disgusting policies. Amnesty for illegals, continued mass immigration just imposing it on certain regions that have yet to suffer from it, no short term prison sentences so soft on crime. They are unpatriotic by suggesting we have some how engaged in an Illegal war, we were in Iraq under a UN mandate for 4 years.
